Surely if the debt is slowly increasing, then Newcastle are still living beyond their means, despite benefitting from interest free loans. If Ashley starts spending more, then the debt will simply become unsustainable. What’s hard to understand about that

The debt to Ashley has effectively increased by the 2x £30m relegation hits he is responsible for. Factor in all the money NUFC has lost in unpaid advertising and merchandise to ShiteDirect, and all the other revenue streams that have dropped under his ownership, and it's quite clear the club isn't being run correctly, or to.the benefit of NUFC anyway.

Surely common sense would suggest that the free advertising is in lieu of paying interest on the debt to Mike Ashley?

So you believe Ashley is responsible for relegation, despite providing £80m in transfer spending that season and also appointed a ‘world class’ manager who failed to keep you up.

Let the free advertising go as well. You need to remember that he could easily charge interest on his loans and make more money that way and could also make himself a paid director if he wished, like Shepherd and Hall before him.

You lot just divvent understand poor Mike.

How the fuck is Ashley responsible for you getting relegated he got you a well respected former England manager, gave him £85m to spend then replaced him with the great one who had ten games to save you and failed. Ashley was blameless for your last relegation.

How the fuck is Short responsible for the state you find yourselves in he got you a well respected former Everton and Manchester United manager, gave him £37m to spend then replaced him with an International manager who had just reached the semi-final of Euro 2016. He had over half a season to save you and failed. Short was blameless for your last two relegations.

Easy this.

Maybe you should find another hobby if it’s starting to upset you.

Doesnt upset me marra, but you have a fresh start on Saturday and it was a pleasant change to look this morning and no mag threads appeared.....then...

The usual Ashley is king bait appears and away we go again.

Yep fuck off etc to me ..

We’re in League One, you’re 10th in the Premiership. There is a difference.

It's all relative. We were a regular top-half side who more often that not competed in European competition before Ashley rocked up, now we're a struggling/yo-yo side.

Decrease vs decrease. See?

There were two relegations, and he is ultimately responsible for both of them with his appointments. Maybe Benitez could have kept us up, but you'd have to be a bit retarded not to blame the manager who bought the squad, and was in charge for 75% of the games.

Yes, he could charge for the loans but that wouldn't benefit him as much as the current situation, ie SD advertised all over the globe for nowt. As I said, this arrangement is to the benefit of Mike Ashley Holdings, and not to NUFC.

Short was bailing you lot out to the tune of £30m a season, and had no tangible benefits to owning SAFC, yet he was universally derided on here. We point out how Ashley gains from owning NUFC, his smoke and mirrors accounting etc.....and we just divennt understand.

Mclaren never signed any players.it was done for him by Ashleys men

Struggling yoyo club before Keegan rocked up. Last season performance was above Newcastle's natural/historical norm.
