Aye he did have an agreement but the club tried to get him to accept a lower wage.We had an agreement with M'Vila and he went back on it.
Not sure I blame him, but if he was as dedicated as you say he wouldnt have.
Just offering a stranger in a new city some where to kip
On his way to Sunderland, packed his Audi and driving upUpdate
Going to be honest here marra, no offence intended as I respect everyone's right to say what they feel. I've often thought some of your opinions on this board have been a load of shite. However since the take over you have been really positive and spoken quite well. We're shaping up nicely and I reckon another couple will still come in this week.

Tbh, I think it plays a part but Newcastle are able to get players. if a player is more interested in londons nightclubs then we cant really afford to be carrying a jack wilshere type anywayUntil Sunderland becomes a more attractive time place for top-flight players to come to it will always be like this. For years we've had to pay over the odds to get players up here whilst not being able to afford it.
Maybe Donald & co can help change the perception of both the club and city, I hope so.
I remember going to a talk in with Gatesy and him saying he got the train up, then the bus to Roker to sign. He said a lad on the bus told him if he didn't score goals he'd go over the side of Wearmouth bridge.Interesting. Scouts posted on the A1 and A19?

Well said. If we, the fans can keep our patience and geve the new SAFC a chance, this could all work. Can’t wait for next Saturday, it’s the best I have felt SAFC wise for many years. This lad ( never heard of him but love what I have read etc ) is the ‘breath of fresh air” type signing we have all wanted for so long. I went to most games last time we were in the 3rd division and it was one of my favourite seasons. There is a fresh, new feeling about the club, Rome wasn’t built in a day but by god SD/JR have stopped the bleeding and are rebuilding.

We had many a debate, always respectful, which is what it should be about and how it should be.Appreciate your honesty, can't say fairer than that.
To be honest, I've been convinced for years that Ellis Short was at the root of all of our problems and we needed a fresh start with someone motivated to rebuild top to bottom. Needless to say, despite being in league one, I am absolutely over the moon with the opportunity and happy thus far with the approach. Making SAFC a community club that harnesses our incredible support as the key thing that makes the club great is exactly the right approach. I want players who feel lucky to go out there and play for us, rather than seeing us as customers.
I think we were very happy to get out of paying him tbh. the whole deal was an absoloute joke to begin with, either sign a player or dont, pissing around waiting while his contract runs down is just daft- we needed him playing in septemberWe had an agreement with M'Vila and he went back on it.
