Forthcoming gigs.

Got tickets for:

The The - Newcastle University (September)
Emma Pollock - Durham Old Cinema Laundrette (September)
Laetitia Sadier - Durham Old Cinema Laundrette (November)

Hoping to get to:

The Coral - Newcastle Riverside (October)
The House Of Love - Newcastle Boiler Shop (November)
Mercury Rev - Newcastle St Nicholas Cathedral (December) SOLD OUT :-(

Saw The Coral a couple of times when they first came out, but was underwhelmed by them each time - not sure if them being professional Scousers turned me off a bit.

Greta Van Fleet - o2 in Kentish town. (November)

Just seen someone posted Mercury Rev in St Nicholas cathedral, that would be amazing!

Missed seeing them live until their second album. Never go too long without listening to them, but it's usually their first album I stick with.

happy days, just flicked onto facebook there at lunchtime, saw alt j doing three gigs in the olympia in Dublin in october, just managed to get in and get tickets for the third date before they all sold out!

I've loved ATDI since the original record came out and its bugged me for years that I'd never seen them. Finally corrected that earlier this month. They were excellent.

Saw Billy Idol last night, he was shite. Seeing Ziggy Marley tonight.
I saw them during the Relationship of Command tour and they were incredible. That's still one of my favorite records of all time. I did like the first Mars Volta album when it came out but then their albums just started getting a little too "out there" for me. I saw them live once and it was just like one massive song. I couldn't recognize any of the songs because they completely changed how they sounded on the album. It was like a massive jam section. Not for me. I'm glad they are back as At The Drive-In.

I saw Damian "Jr Gong" Marley at a reggae festival here in Long Beach some years back when "Welcome To Jamrock" came out. Sadly, I have never had a chance to see Ziggy:(

I also saw Mars Volta and alike you, quite like them but they don't have the punch of ATDI.

I saw Damian last year at the same venue I'm seeing Ziggy tonight, he was good.

Death In Vegas, last night

new stuff sounded great.just not on,for long enough.
Nivver seen em. Been on the guest list three times though through my unorganised manc marra. Probably just as wel as I only know the Iggy song.

Went to Citadel festival on Sunday.....

The 30 degree sun wasn't great when there was barely anywhere in the shade to sit/stand. The beer was both crap and warm aswell...

Fat White Family were the highlight for me, followed by Goat, and Shame. The Horrors only played 4 songs!

Wasn't really bothered about seeing Tame Impala so left a bit earlier because i was knackered from the sun. A cracking move when i read that people were left stranded in Acton because of the queues for the Tube.
My heart bleeds for them. I was stranded in Acton for a whole fuckin year.

Got tickets for:
The Weather Station - Cluny, August.
Pale Waves - Boiler Shop, September.
Laurel - ThinkTank?, September.
Whenyoung - Head of Steam, September.
Pearl Harts - Head of Steam, September.
Black Honey - Riverside, October.
Menace Beach - Cluny 2, October.
Cassia - ThinkTank?, October.
Shame - Northumbria Uni, November.
Courtney Barnett, Northumbria Uni, November.

Will also be trying to get tickets for Gomez, Muncie Girls, Twist Helix, Blaenavon, Editors, Coheed, Estrons, The Lovely Eggs and A - depending on my money situation and being able to get the time off work.

Quite fancy seeing Speedy, they've never came to the NE, unfortunately.

I like Drinks too, but thought the new album was pretty poor.
Seen When Young a few times now in pub back rooms. It seems to be happening for them now. Excellent band catch em before they get big.
I’d recommend Yowl, Shame and Neon Waltz anarl. Shame and Neon Waltz seem to be getting a bit of attention but Yowl are still ruff n ready playing small gigs around London.
