I still don't know why people get so worked up about the mags obsession with their manager. I couldn't care less.

How do we think this place would look if the transfer dealings to get promoted and maintain premier league status were showing a loss?
Speculation of course but I think Benitez would be getting mocked for ridiculous spending and "Only getting 10th" with no blame on Ashley, but the transfer dealings showing a profit and it's well done Ashley.

Just admit it, Pardrew has so far done a better job than the gaffa at your club. It becomes easier when you accept it.

Aye if it makes you feel all gooey fella.

hows the transfer budget like no other going for you? Has the Don asked for a whipround yet? Tombola stalls? Raffles?

Good article this

This bit sums it all up perfectly

In the two and a half years since the Spaniard’s – arriving just months after vacating arguably the biggest footballing seat on the planet – he has guided a motley crew of relegated misfits to the and returned the club to the top 10 of the Premier League all the while turning a £19m profit in the transfer window.
But in reality:
In the two and a half years since the Spaniard’s – arriving just months after his second successive sacking within months of being appointed – he only just managed to guide the most expensively assembled team to play in the championship to the eason and returned the club to the top 10 of the Premier League all the while turning a £19m profit in the transfer window by cashing in on the shrewd buys of previous managers.

You could argue both statements are correct, but the 2nd is probably nearer the truth.
