Found this on Twitter this morning.
Nee idea where the figure has come from like

Think he’s made that up to be honest. Just googled it and accounts were released in May. 144 million debt. 112 million wage bill.

Edit: that’s obviously from end of last accounts

So that dum fuck off an mp is in the house of commons asking them a business to spend money they do not have

Haven’t a clue to be honest. I suppose it depends on how much of the debt has been paid off but when your wage bill is 112 million and last PL turnover was in the 120’s I can’t see much being paid off. (Although turnover likely to be higher now with bigger tv deal)

Turned down 2 contracts, I don't blame Ashley for not giving someone who isn't committed any money too spend.

Makes you wonder if Ashley wants to add another large get out clause in his contract if he wants to quit again.

It is the speciality of MPs to spend money they don't have on vanity projects to make them feel good. The money needs to be borrowed from their children and grandchildren without their consent, but so what, they get to cut a ribbon or boast to a dim witted local reporter.

She obviously thinks the real world can operate in this way. Interesting to know how long she has held a season ticket.

Selling Sels to Strasbourg for £3m, having paid £6.5m for him - played about 10 games since Rafa bought him.

Another Ashley transfer mistake.
A few million quids loss on a few transfers from a season we finished as champions is a small price to pay, and he still made a transfer profit of 30 million in the season those players were bought.

It's only a small price when you don't have to pay it!

They lost a huge sum that year and took a gamble that worked. The consequences of this are still being flushed through their system.

Without a maniac sugar daddy willing to lose a load of money, loads of clubs are going to either behave properly and prudently, as you have been doing for the most part, or risk following us down the trap doors.

The TV deal has almost doubled in value, but transfer fees have more than tripled and wages are rising exponentially.

I think so?
Didn't they have the biggest wage bill ever in the championship?
After the top 6 they'd be around one of the highest wage bills along with Everton and West Ham

Only because they wrote off about £35m of contracts of players not deemed to have a future at the club, and included them into that years accounts. Our wage bill will be nowhere near that of West Ham and Everton.
