I edited as wages may be higher than I thought, but to have nothing left after the huge new tv deals and ticket income is worrying

The owner has plenty of money, he no longer pumps it into the club, he is keeping it to himself. He has Benitez for one more year, likely to survive relegation. He can enjoy the profits of another premiership season, without having to spend big. I don't think he is a twats at all, he is good at making loads of money from a crock of shit.
