Craft Beer

Lucky *****.

Absolute ructions over this.

Cloudwater have pulled out of the Beavertown extravaganza over it which is a big deal itself I guess, but they’re now being accused of hypocrisy for brewing regularly with Brewdog and attending their AGM despite Brewdog’s indirect backing from Coors.
Someone on one of the home brew forums saying his local bottle shop isn't going to stock their beers anymore.

Got a few new ones from Morrisons last weekend. Pick of the bunch was Mango IPA from Innis and Gunn. Not bad at all.

Currently sipping on this in Heilbronn watching the footie....canny drop mind

Crate Brewery across the road is lovely in the sun as well. Pizzas look great as well though I've never tried it.

Crate’s always packed as are most of the places on the canal. The Plough at Swan Wharf is good as the outside bit is massive and I’m a fan of Four Quarters at Here East.

was over the lakes today, cracking craft beer and gin shop in pooley bridge.
All local beers not loads like but must be over 100 gins on the shelves

Don’t want to cause a stir, but in my considered opinion Wylam and Verdant have overtaken Cloudwater as far as UK brewers go.

Only recently tried Cloudwater stuff recently but haven’t been overly impressed. Nice but doesn’t live up to the hype.

I don’t rate Pressure Drop at all but then I’ve only had a few of their beers.

I like the occasional Wugang Chops the Tree. It’s delightfully weird.

Went in Lou's last year and that character @muggboots off here got me to try some Verdant stuff. It was one of the nicest beers i have had. Can't for life of me remember the name.

Wugang is the most carbonated drink I've had in my life. It's like your tongue is the mentos sweet being thrown into a bottle of pop.

For a period between 2-4 years ago they were immense. Gone right off the boil.

The bar I’ve been going in recently has had a load of Northern Monk stuff on. A couple of them have been excellent.

Need to take the edge off all the bits of tree in it.

This re cloudwater. Paid a fortune for a can from a fancy beer shop. Drank it and thought it definitely wasn't worth the cash! Am lucky as up here (glasgow) Aldi sell a good selection of craft for a decent price.

My two favourite beers at the moment are from the Stewart Brewery in Edinburgh.

Their award winning "Radical Road" is an outstanding triple hopped pale ale:

And "First World Problems" is a Belgian style IPA that hits the spot:

Both these beers are available at Sainsburys. Stewart Brewery also have a class brew tap place at Leith with loads of cracking bottles, cans and draughts on offer.
