You seem quite happy to defend players that want to leave so what have you got to lose?

I presume most top professional sportsmen have managers/agents but you don't here much about them
.
It seems to be particular to football and also to a certain extent English football perhaps we are seen as soft touch.

I know someone who works for a club who has been offered him. I know someone who knows our owners. The first relationship is rock solid the second in more heresay and less specific

Agents in England are RELATIVELY PROFESSIONAL . South America is the Wild West ( the agents often own the economic rights of players )- parents basically sell then to agents. Spain /Portugal bizarrely is the most professional - all players have buy out clauses in there contracts

By relatively professional I assume you mean relative to agents from other countries. This does not mean they are professional or work ethically.
That said, agents are an essential part of the game as without them the players would be abused by the clubs.
Balance must be found and regulated.

So Catts and / or his agent don’t want to play league 1 football, the club say they’ll let him leave on a free as we need his wages gone but his agent still wants contract / loyalty / difference paid up to get her cut?

I’m sure there’ll be a compromise, but hopefully the owners don’t let agents take the piss like they’ve done up here for years
