Its going to be quite embarrassimg the amount of people on here that used to criticise their support when they get bigger crowds than us this season :lol::lol:

:) :)

Were you born in 2012?

Id probably say yes

Villa derby boro sheff wed leeds will
All average more than us unless a miracle occurs and we are challenging for the league

Hope im wrong but cant see it

:) :)

Can you count?

were you born in 2012? My only explanation for your comments is your a 5 year old mag fan

Shit! beaten to it

Since Sunderland moved into the SoL they have never struggled in the second tier, you have always either been promoted or at worse missed out in the playoffs.

If you lot struggle and are in the lower half then I reckon you are looking at averaging between 20-25k which is still good. As for Boro if we are in and around automatic I would expect high 20s. The problem with the championship not many away fans fancy a day out in Middlesbrough.

But we wont

A few more signings soon to keep the momentum going and we can easily tip this. Surpassing last season's total means without a doubt higher crowds than most of the clubs in the championship, a huge one in the eye for the smoggie twats who hijacked some of these threads earlier.

23,000 will be just 2k short of Middlesbrough's entire average gate last season and if you take away the away fans, it already means we have more season tickets than fans they can produce for a home game.

Really ? Before Karanka tgere we’re getting around 15000, if that. They wouldn’t get anywhere near 20 thousand tickets sold in league one. They think that’s an achievement selling 20000 in the championship.

Twenty-one thousand (plus) fans who have put their faith in the club which hasn't, at the time of buying, got a recognisable first team squad.. Unbelievable achievement. I'd employ these two buggers to sell anything to anyone.

You do realise you're replying to posts from a year ago?

And yes you did - you finished bottom.

f***ing hell man what is it with Smoggies continuing to troll these threads?

Of course Sunderland should get bigger crowds than Boro. Far higher population, free tickets as opposed to some of the highest walk-up prices even by Premier League standards, a longstanding Premier League club etc. etc. ... that said if it doesn't turn out that way there will be a few with egg on their faces from this thread.

I prefer The Championship to The Premier League for various reasons but the number of night matches in the 46 game slog isn't one of them. The feedback I get from the Sunderland fans I work with is that it's doom and gloom on Wearside but I'm sure your loyal fans will back the club to the hilt!

An interesting stat on attendances from last season would be how many home fans were in each stadium at full-time for every home game. Despite both teams being relegated I think Boro would win hands down on that one!
Thought it was going to be an interesting thread it really is boring Nowt to do with footy just mine is bigger than yours crap.

Plus mate every one was that sick of Ellis short. Him leaving alone would bring people back

And you spent over £50m and didn’t get promoted as I predicted :D

Just like you won’t get promoted season coming too ... Football has moved on from Pulis hoofball NFL tactics
