Didn't he address this in his appearance on the Roker Report Podcast?? pretty sure he did...
This feels like a reporter hearing the podcast and making a story where one doesn't really exist.
Some fans are f***ing clueless. Why should Cattermole take a pay cut (again) or offer up any of his contract??? He signed it in good faith, and the whole squad fucked up, not on individual.
There is not one person on this board would take a 50% pay cut at work that they did't need to. No matter how much a player is earning, its crazy to assume they will take less when they don't have to. Any fan that expects or demands this is naive to say the least.
Yes he did and if he wants to leave hand in his letter of resignation and fuck off just like the rest of us would have to.Didn't he address this in his appearance on the Roker Report Podcast?? pretty sure he did...

He did not give that impression on the Podcast, but he did say he'd have to write out a check to Ellis Short, for 20 Mill, shortly!Worrying.
Sunderland are facing cash-flow problems only one month after Stewart Donald's takeover of the club, with the new owner speaking to seven financiers about securing loans to help kick-start his regime.
What the fuck?

I got the impression from him, that the 20 mill, wasn't a problem, tho, mate. Maybe the Times is the same as the rest of them!Donald did mention a bit of a hole in the finances due to money being due over the Alvarez debacle . Another 5M now due that they apparently were unaware of . He mentioned they were discussing it with Short . He also said the 20M on player payments was due soon ,so it may be related to this.
He doesn’t want to honour the contract though. He wants out of the contract but to still be paid regardless. He is perfectly entitled to get paid what he agreed and the owner said as much, but he has to do his bit as well.Didn't he address this in his appearance on the Roker Report Podcast?? pretty sure he did...

How about the bit where he said we can get a few promotions without needing Juan who is loaded
I'm fairly confident there wouldn't be many on here who would walk away from what they're contractually owed.Yes he did and if he wants to leave hand in his letter of resignation and fuck off just like the rest of us would have to.

Yes I don't understand this Maggie Byrne saying Cattermole won't leave a penny behind . Why would we agree to that? He either leaves with no payment or stays and gets paid.He doesn’t want to honour the contract though. He wants out of the contract but to still be paid regardless. He is perfectly entitled to get paid what he agreed and the owner said as much, but he has to do his bit as well.
No as we don't know he's asked for the remainder to be paid. You've just made that up. Also as well as him wanting to move we also want him to move on.If you had a contract with an employed that YOU decided YOU didn't want to work for anymore would you expect them to pay up the remainder AND let you out of your end of the obligation?
Give over man, the lad is an utter twat and you've been taken in by his posturing so much you can't see it.
As bad as Rodwell.
He didn't make it up, it's in the podcast. No as we don't know he's asked for the remainder to be paid. You've just made that up. Also as well as him wanting to move we also want him to move on.
He's nee where near as bad as Rodwell. Our owner even said if he stayed He'd give 100 %. That hasn't happened with Rodwell.
It's best if he does leave mind and I hope it's sorted sooner rather than later.
He won't leave without a penny owed. He won't get his contract paid up. He'll have loyalty payments (I know)He didn't make it up, it's in the podcast.
