There is not one person on this board would take a 50% pay cut at work that they did't need to. No matter how much a player is earning, its crazy to assume they will take less when they don't have to. Any fan that expects or demands this is naive to say the least.

The issue is he wants to leave AND wants his contract paid up. Why does he deserve that?

Utter scum who should have the decency to walk away if he thinks he can play at a better level, which is doubtful

He did not give that impression on the Podcast, but he did say he'd have to write out a check to Ellis Short, for 20 Mill, shortly!

He doesn’t want to honour the contract though. He wants out of the contract but to still be paid regardless. He is perfectly entitled to get paid what he agreed and the owner said as much, but he has to do his bit as well.

If you had a contract with an employed that YOU decided YOU didn't want to work for anymore would you expect them to pay up the remainder AND let you out of your end of the obligation?

Yes I don't understand this Maggie Byrne saying Cattermole won't leave a penny behind . Why would we agree to that? He either leaves with no payment or stays and gets paid.

No as we don't know he's asked for the remainder to be paid. You've just made that up. Also as well as him wanting to move we also want him to move on.
He's nee where near as bad as Rodwell. Our owner even said if he stayed He'd give 100 %. That hasn't happened with Rodwell.
It's best if he does leave mind and I hope it's sorted sooner rather than later.
 
I wouldn’t be surprised or particularly worried if it was true. We’ve made massive losses for the last god knows how many years. Even though we have a new owner those problems don’t disappear overnight.
