Fuck the lot of them. It was an interview with Sunderland supporters for Sunderland supporters. The precious ones have chosen to read it despite that, then get all upset cos he doesnt nor has never liked them. Of course that isnt possible at all, according to the dummy launchers, no one could possibly dislike them because they are so great. When reality hits they dont like it, and all of a sudden it is labelled unprofessional, followed by childish tantrums and a whole load of wailing. Hes spot on by the look of things. How dare we talk about them in such disdain. The idiots dont realise they are proving his point
Brilliant post

Nothing I can really say to add to this.

Well if the only point a view you want to hear is that of fellow believers perhaps you should ask the site owners to restrict the place to self professed mackems then. Until then it is open and if any of you want to write something ludicrous then be prepared for someone to point it out.
If the media were spouting shit like that about you lot every day you'd burn down their premises man. Get real.

nail on the head mate.

I'm afraid that's the first time I have come across that. It's not good. Has he been back in his pre-match role since? I looked it up and .com hark on about what they call a similar incident that they had to 'endure' at West Ham. Being the butt of a comic actor's performance cannot equate to someone being boorish.

At the end of the day neither were in positions of authority at either club which is my point. Having a joint owner saying derogatory things about a rival club is out of order. He's perfectly entitled to hold opinions but airing them publicly is unprofessional, even if it does curry favour with the locals. And before anyone mentions it, Ashley leading a conga line was out of order as well.

We don’t care you f***ing ****.

Have the A levels finished?
This guy has to be 17 or 18 and studying English.
Trying to be rational and reasonable and failing.
Trying to make a big deal out of something that isn't.
It's entertaining but you've got to wonder.

You're on form today lad.

Trust me, if Ashley had said something about Sunderland fans you lot would have the pitchforks ready.
Your lot have bought all the region's regions pitchforks as it is, hounded Robson out you didn't like that truth infact your arsehole fans don't like any truth that goes against your shitty supporters or shitty club.

Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City fans can afford to be a little full of themselves and rightly so, they've won trophies galore and obviously like to go on about it, who wouldn't.

When a club and it's fans, who haven't won anything of note since the mid 1950's try to follow suit, then they will come across as arrogant. Everyone knows what they are like, so for someone to mention this in an interview isn't exactly a startling revelation, as he's just saying how he found them.

It's like Hitler taking offence if someone called him a wrong'un. If the sensitive lads from up the road don't like it, then stop being so arrogant and you may be surprised to learn that people won't refer to you like that.

Speaks with authority and calls a spade a spade, old school and old money so will not give a shit about criticism, clearly has a passion to implement change if allowed to do so, I think he sounds class.

Get the fkrs rattled. Get amongst them. Good luck.

Exactly, their response to a few words in an interview in a Sunderland fanzine has only served to perpetuate the stereotype. I’m sure they still think they are everyone’s favourite second team.

Roy Keane said the exact same thing - long after he left us - and he's not one to pander.

"I always thought they were an arrogant bunch, for a club that had won fuck all."

Maybe there's some truth to it.
