A refreshing change to go for our own man to develop. Most of the names were depressing me but this one has me in a mood of wonder. As a few have mentioned he is young, talented, hard working, ambitious... motivated!

Where is he though?

FFS! Some people on here. Sir Alex Ferguson ~ most people on here will have heard of him ~ after an average playing career, went into management. first at East Stirlingshire, then at St Mirren, then won a European Trophy with Aberdeen, then went to Manchester United....has everybody caught up yet?

Jack Ross had an average playing career, including a spell as chairman of the players' union. After that he was U20s coach at Hearts, where he was expected to succeed Robbie Neilson as manager, except he fell out with Craig Levein. He managed Alloa quite successfully before moving to manage St Mirren, one of the 5 remaining founders of the SFL. His success with St Mirren led to him being awarded the PFA Scottish manager of the year, despite Brenda Rogers completing an unprecedented double treble.

He has an honours degree in Economics, so isn't stupid.

Everybody has to start somewhere. GIVE HIM A CHANCE!

Imho, potentially he could be the best manager we've had in a long long time.

If the mags had appointed him you’d be pissing yourself laughing mind.
Well they aren't, we've seen a few trepidations posts over the last couple of days from the unwashed, no matter where you are if you are on the up you are on the up, they realise this even though some of our own supporters don't

We pissed ourselves at James Chester etc, and I'm sure they(you) will with our signings, but at this stage it's horses for courses so I couldn't give a flying f.

Before anyone starts, he's probably not going to be quite as good as Ferguson, but we're not in a position to get a successful manager from a big club. We need to take a punt on potential and that's what we're doing, rather than getting in the likes of Phil Brown
