St Mirren Football Club can confirm we received an approach from Sunderland AFC this afternoon for permission to speak to our manager Jack Ross.

After agreeing to our terms we have reluctantly given them permission to speak to Jack about their vacant managers position.

He’s ours:cool:

What’s your input on the lad? Genuine question btw, as I know very little of him.

he got relegated with Alloa having taken over in December of that season in a league where the bottom team this season finished on 4 (FOUR) points. If we're going to vilify Coleman and we have done then this lad should be taking pelters. The Scottish championship is an embarrassing standard of football. I was hoping for someone who might boost ticket sales.

Think about the disease not the symptoms. We need a long term plan executed by a hungry leader, if we get this right the bums on seats will take care of themselves

Like who, Appleton? McCarthy? Coleman? We're a league one club. The choice of manager we'd be after aren't going to dramatically boost ticket sales imo.

Didn’t know that about Alloa. Do you think he has done a good job since then, or are you feeling it’s not much of an achievement?

First I had heard of him was an article last week saying Ipswich had a great young manager (must have looked nailed on he was off there last week).

Proof will be in the pudding, good luck to him and hopefully he’s a raging success.

Why was Donald blabbing on the radio this morning about terms being agreed etc when St Mirren hadn’t even granted us permission to speak to him?
I’ve a feeling this fellas gob is going to run away with him a little too often. He needs to learn that we are big news and not a tinpot club like Eastleigh.
