I know what you're getting at I just don't see it being that important in League 1. There's not that much difference. If we were 8th in the PL last season then I could understand it a bit more.

As you know im not a Sunderland fan but a keen observer of your club and I reckon its a positive step for Sunderland , you have a fella on the up , a bloke who seems ambitious and who has the confidence to take on a massive rebuilding process ,
its better than the same old names, Monk, Holloway, Moyes , Parkinson, Pullis, Lambert , Coleman, Grayson etc
