If this an underwhelming appointment wait till we start signing players there is going to be some very disappointed members on here.

Haway Stewy, Jack and Charlie. The rebuilding starts now.

after all the optimism this week we end up with John James Jack Ross.
While Jack has an impressive CV in Scotland, not so much in England. His only time spent here was a short spell at Hartlepool where he felt homesick!
But what really concerns me is that our new owners talked about wanting a manager who knew the League we are in.
If Martin Bain had made this decision, he would have been blasted from every direction.
The new owners have disappointed with this one and I fully expect to see Ross back at some part time Scottish team within 6 months.

Fuck off

Absolutely sick to death of seeing that phrase over the last few weeks tbh ......... your random thoughts are of absolutely no interest.

Who did you want?

I never once heard the new owners say they wanted a manager who knew the league. What they said was he would have high standards and would be professional. Who else would you realistically have had? I'd much rather Ross over Appleton or Stam. A promising, highly rated young manager and yet people still twist man!

And a quick look at the Ipswich message-board suggests their fans aren't happy with their club. Apparently we showed Ross we wanted him more while Ipswich were impressed but delayed making the offer.
Reading the St Mirren message-board it seems, though very sad they're losing him, they think SAFC is the perfect job for him and a better choice than Ipswich.
Not had a look at the Ipswich message board so would appreciate a link mate.

I looked at the St Mirren board when Jack Ross was first mentioned as a serious contender and they did think he’d end up here due to the debt free & new ownership scenario, they didn’t seem concerned when he was linked to Ipswich.

what were people expecting? we're in league one

we've tried the whole big name, safe pair of hands shit etc.. and it's never f***ing worked

let's have a young, hungry manager in with a point to prove

think people just want a well known name for the sake of it
I agree about a young manager and he has done well. My doubt is that he is going have to bring in players and what will his knowledge of players in this league be?
