Was in his company this afternoon in Fitzies beer garden with @Kid Galahad , Tommy L, Blakie, Akky, @The Fulwell and a few others, and can only speak as find.
Very impressed, these guys know what it's all about, and I feel good times are around the corner in the hands of these fine fellas.
Helen is a very nice lady too. Normski did a fine job in looking after her whilst Charles was bombarded with questions by the rest of us.
Onwards and upwards!

Class

Was over the moon about a change of ownership, only to find out the new lot are Torys.

I'm loathe to trust them due to the fundamentally abhorrent politics they support. Not to mention their complete and utter contempt for anyone who isn't wealthy or who happens to be living outside the home counties.

Proud working class club in an area the conservatives have had a good go at destroying taken over by that lot won't end well. They'll be in it for the cheap real estate in a financially distressed areas no doubt. Class.

Because that's where the real money is

Before they rocked up we were in limbo, no investment, no direction and no hope.

If they want a profit, they need success and there lies a common interest.

Like it or not there's plenty tories who support Sunderland. Personally I couldn't give a fuck as long as they're looking after our club properly

I hope for your own sake this is an attempt at humour

This, of all the questions fired at him yesterday I don't think this one entered our heads tbh and for what it's worth I wouldn't want Diane Abbott anywhere near our club!

You were absolutely desperate to get rid of Short, and that’s fair enough, but now he’s gone you are already questioning the new owners because of their politics. I don’t care whose name they put a x next to on a ballot paper tbh.

Just the general vibe from the lad which was all positive, they are chomping at the bit to get started and seem genuinely excited about their opportunity to be a successful chapter in our clubs history, there are probably details which will come back to me later but in a nutshell that was what I came away with, hope!

They say if they had a manager lined up?

Indeed. How many hugely rich businessmen running football clubs do we think are committed socialists exactly? The top two teams in the country this year are owned by a horrific autocracy and a family who have donated large sums to Trump FFS.

Thank God you're awake at last !
