So where the heck are we with this takeover business then? When I want news I want it to be 100% accurate and positive with a very good source I know to exist and be true.

I don't want it to be from a forum member who happen to be friends of neighbours whose uncle's nephew's best friend from school is part of a business that is a supplier to the catering of Sunderland AFC.

I don't want someone on a forum who happens to be from a general financial company not connected to the club or Mr Pearson who leaves people in a daze over complex financial waffle.

I don't want it to be from some social media account.

I don't want it to be from some rag who is widely known for not having accuracy in their articles and having a reliable network of reputable contacts.

I want it to be from a place the world and his wife could tell me is a very good place for reliable, accurate info and can give me assurances of past truths said.

Problem is regarding Mr Person one person is saying one thing and another person something else totally contradictory. Who is more truthful? The one who says Mr Pearson isn't taking over or the one who says he is taking over?

Kinell who wound Veruca Salt up?

We are still in limbo, no news while not good news can also not be classified as bad news.

If you want it from the horses mouth, you need to go see the horse.

None. I am hoping that by not leaking anything specific that in turn outs the whole process, I'll be given more access when things progress. My guess now is that despite their % being very. very high about where the deal is at, it's actually got to still get over a number of hurdles. The way Bain spoke yesterday indicated that he hadn't let anyone get in front of Short as yet. That's the only thing I've subtly asked as I don't want to be constantly asking for information.

I got the impression from Bain’s interview that a few parties had got infront of Short and then Short passes them back for the Due Diligence process. Sounded like he had also filtered out some time wasters.

There are two debts, the SBC loan, and a loan from Drumaville Linited, in essence , Short. It's this second loan that's being talked about as transferred. The charge document for the loan can be found here .Have fun.

No, the Drumaville loan could be written off by the owner as part of any prospective deal.

The SBC loan will remain with SAFC Ltd but will likely require the consent of SBC and credit approval of any new shareholders.

This is just my humble opinion btw and does not infer any knowledge of any goings on at the club.

I must admit that I like the idea of the "time wasters". Are there really groups of people approaching Bain in a bid to buy the club who are taken aback when the very basics of SAFC's current finances are explained to them? Would someone really be so naive as to even consider buying the club in the first place without doing a litle bit of research for themselves?
"So what you are saying Mr Bain is that £10 grand me and the lads have in the kitty won't be enough."

Is it not more the case that some people, like that Eastleigh bloke, are exaggerating the funds they have not because they really want to buy the club but simply because, out of interest or for whatever other purposes, they want the opportunity to look at the books in detail. They know they can't afford it but want to see how bad things are here so they pretend to have an interest in order to get access to the books, in many cases they might think they can gain knowledge from it that might help them in their other businesses? That's what I've assumed is meant by time wasters/ tyre kickers

Nixon says new group sniffing about, but doubts any of the groups have the funds to do the deal
