I don't doubt that, it's just whether there will be more of them than the combination of people who are alienated from it and/or duff off the county t20 competition in favour of this. there is only so much saturation a market can take when there is no loyalty involved. we aren't a franchise nation, our sporting affiliations are bred into us.
I don't doubt this will be a marginal success, although probably still not a financial one - most t20 leagues round the world make losses with the obvious exception of the ipl and iirc the big bash does - especially when taken in conjuction with the t20 blast which will probably end up in financial ruin and get packed in a few years down the road if it is.

taunton [albeit not the biggest place] and the st Lawrence are a short wander from the town. cls [god bless it] is a chew on to get to from a variety of places, more so getting back from late at night. our crowds would be much bigger IMO if it was wandering distance from durham city centre.
the whole IPL crack that has recently come out is just the cherry on top. they get to keep a sizable cut of any English player going to play in the ipl. why? why not the county that developed them? why not the player? I can't even see how that is legal tbh, unless it only involves centrally contracted players and it is in the small print. pound of flesh type stuff tbf
