So, as Bain has told us, one or two parties have done due diligence. This party didn’t like what they saw and walked away. Bain told his Glaswegian mate Nixon to run the story to keep us sweet after the relegation.

All supposition but possible. We just need to hope that someone is still standing and has the clout or desire to get past Short’s shambles.
 

Local newspapers love a good double bubble though. This is like when they'd just make something up, then the next day run a story on the club's denial.

"Still very active" says Alan Nixon, who broke the story. Hard to know what to believe. It feels like this could be the same as last summer where we get our hopes up only to be stuck with Short and staring into the void. Fingers crossed that changes but I won't be getting my hopes up this time.
 
someone tweeted alan nixon asking him why he posted that story last night , he's still adamant that it's still very active despite what hull journalist said

While he isn’t always right, hes not daft enough to post that story without checking it out first imo
