This. Sacked Allardyce and replaced him with a nobody then asset stripped just like Short has. The reason Blackburn are getting promoted isn't because they're fantastic its because the whols league is shite, miles behind The Championship. The likes of Millwall and Sheff Utd are doing very well though since their promotion. That's because both of them are well organised and have decent managers, unlike Coleman, who couldn't organise a prayer in s f***ing church. Hopefully our potential new owners get rid of the useless twat
 
Thanks lads, he was at a football tournament and ended up losing 2 teeth and having a double fracture of his jaw, who'd be a goalkeeper eh! Hopefully getting him back to Sunderland today though

Must speak volumes then that we have had since last summer umpteen "interested consortium's" piss off the moment they do this. That is if they are actually even interested or even exist. Because we never hear from anyone after this "diligence". This period of diligence is just the press and medias way of bringing the story to a quiet end before coming up with another name and doing the same all over again.

Both sides will be doing it.

The buyer obviously checks what the finances actually look like and how much debt there is, what the incomings and outgoings are.

Short has publicly come out and said he isn't willing to just sell the club to anyone. Football is littered with bad owners (cough) and that's why there is a 'fit and proper person's' test which is supposed to make sure people with dodgy backgrounds don't buy a club and run it into the ground.

Short obviously wants to take that sort of protective stance himself and doesn't want some group of clowns with 500k to their name walk in and then have the entire club go into Admin within the first 6 months.
