Nope don't think so.Wasn't he good pals with Bob Murray, which is why we played Hull to officially open their new stadium in 2002?

ES gave the impression he’d ran the rule over the German lot and wasn’t impressed. I’d think he may not be so strict this time.Isn’t it the buyer who exercises the due dilligence?
ST renewals deadline today...The cynic in me thinks that Nixon has probably known info this for weeks and that Bain has asked him to release it now to deflect all the anger about getting relegated.
This might mean that the group is no closer to succeeding. Hopefully that is not right and the relegation has clarified the price.
That would be awesome.I hope its this fella who has the money as he looks like Tony Montana in this picture -You must be logged on to see external links
Strange how Short lives in Texas and you are TEXASmackem. Suspicious.Indeed, he might be able to advise any potential new owners how not to get the club in £100m worth of debt. Not that it would take a genius mind.
I’d be interested to see who his backers are. I think they would need some money to sort out the current mess.
I’m still confused with why people are upset with this? Has anyone actually been able to recall some of his controversies or is it the Mandela effect?
Getting 60 odd million refinanced on what our income will be, will be a right challenge. It depends really....if Short clears off empty handed the external debt could be rescheduled. The main thing is to get the club within touching distance of the PL (top six in the Championship) over the next two to three seasons....preferably just two before the parachute payments run out. Getting straight back up to the Championship shouldn’t be a big ask imo. We need a big season once we do though.
The other 2 sets of fans of the clubs he was involved with think highly(ish) of him.For me it was his time at Derby bringing in Jewell and Davies with an abysmal showing in the league

Must admit the Jewell thing has me worriedFor me it was his time at Derby bringing in Jewell and Davies with an abysmal showing in the league
Bob still has business / financial interests in the clubI don't expect everyone to agree with this, but I think we could do a lot worse than having Bob back in the boardroom in some capacity.

He doesn’t live in Texas man. Lived in The Bolton’s, Chelsea/South Ken when he was ower here and has moved to Florida for his sons tennis in the last year or so.Strange how Short lives in Texas and you are TEXASmackem. Suspicious.

I find it bizarre you look at one negative and not the two positives. Each to their own thoughAye, just my opinion of it looking from a distance. That said, he is just heading up this consortium and there is the local one to consider too.
Eh? Didn’t Davies get them promoted? Twas a safc/Micmac situation iirc. Getting an average team promoted almost guarantees you the sack. Burnley stuck with Dyche like we stuck with Reid. For me it was his time at Derby bringing in Jewell and Davies with an abysmal showing in the league
Agreed. It’s not as if we’re an attractive proposition with potential owners fighting over us so he might be as good as we get.
We just need to halt the negative momentum.
