Surely playing a season in the third tier may persuade a few to take a pay cut to find opportunities at a new club?

I don't expect everyone to agree with this, but I think we could do a lot worse than having Bob back in the boardroom in some capacity.Wasn't he good pals with Bob Murray, which is why we played Hull to officially open their new stadium in 2002?
Two bob Bob.I don't expect everyone to agree with this, but I think we could do a lot worse than having Bob back in the boardroom in some capacity.
Must be getting on a bit now mind.I don't expect everyone to agree with this, but I think we could do a lot worse than having Bob back in the boardroom in some capacity.
No - The Alams have done that all by themselves.Didn't he make a right mess of Hull?
He's still involved with the foundation of light which seems to be doing very well.Must be getting on a bit now mind.
Correct he won't be the money man. His cash is tied in to Hull FC.Don't know that much about him tbh. Seems to have done a good job turning Hull around. Possibly more of a chairman/CEO than a shareholder, so it may be more important to know who the money men are.
Indeed, he might be able to advise any potential new owners how not to get the club in £100m worth of debt. Not that it would take a genius mind. Two bob Bob.
Isn’t it the buyer who exercises the due dilligence? Here we go again. New consortium comes in, Ellis Short exercises due diligence, consortium is never heard of again.
He didn't build the KC stadium tbf, the council did and still own it.Took them over in Administration at the bottom of League Two - got them 2 promotions up to the Championship and built the KC Stadium. They were promoted to the Premier League the year after he left - not a bad 6 years at Hull City. Hull fans would have him back now if you check their message boards. Some people seem to be desperate to see negatives, maybe understandably, when all I can read about this fella is positive.
Im sure he wouldn’t put the phone down on anyone. Drumaville, ES or any new mob.Indeed, he might be able to advise any potential new owners how not to get the club in £100m worth of debt. Not that it would take a genius mind.
