What's with the initials in the white text?
Either it is legit inside info and the initials will turn out to be people involved in a consortium/bid so this'll be proof the poster knew it all along

Or, the above is exactly what the poster wants you to think and it's all bullshit but they are trying to add to the hype with little tricks like white text initials...

For balance, I believe he oversaw Derby’s relegation from the Premier League with 15 points.
He was dreadful at Derby, talked the talk but ultimately full of shit, to be fair to him he did help the sale of our club to a US consortium who eventually sorted out the mess but Pearson himself was a big letdown.

They didn't turn Liepzig round, it was a new club.
The Cologne owners possibly? Weren't they languishing, following relegation with massive debts and now competing in Europe and turning a profit?
Just got relegated on Sunday I believe. Fell asleep towards end of second half. Scored a goal of the season contender though.

It’s ok mate I’m having a celebratory beer just in case!! The sun is shining and I’m off fishing tmw so all is good with the world. I hope this turns out to be true and it goes through!!

Good idea. The main reason I posted on here tonight was because we've been shat on for so long... it just didn't feel right to see people desperate for information and unable to feel the same hope I now have as a result of the last 24hrs.

Didn't he make a right mess of Hull?

Far from it.

That was a later chairman I think, if you're talking about the one that changed their name to Hull City Tigers (or tried to, can't remember if it went through in the end).

Playing tricks, the present chairman is responsible for trying, and failing, to change the name.

He took Hull from oblivion to competing for PL promotion it seems

Correct

I was just reading the Hull Wiki page a few minutes ago and it seems he was some sort of official advisor for a while after he stopped being the owner. I don't know to what capacity though. Maybe that's what they meant?

He sold the club to a southern property magnate. Who in turn sold it for a pound to the present owners. Pearson was brought back to help them get to grips with running a football club. He was sacked, with a non disclosure agreement.

Is this chap wealthy in his own right?

No he isn't. Possibly a multi millionaire if that counts these days as wealthy?

The richest league one club (for now) is Portsmouth owned by Michael Eisner worth £1 billion, the poorest is Bradford with owners valued at £12 million, the average being £85 million. We aren't getting a rich Arab or a billionaire.

There’s a kid I work with reckons there was a rumour he was going to buy Hull, and have Steve McClaren as manager since he’s been spotted there. I hope the rumours of him buying us are true though. We need to turn a corner.[/QUOTE

No chance the Allams will sell to him. Steve McClaren is an ex City player married a Hull girl. Goes to games as a spectat

Brian Marwood ? (can’t remember if he played for City)

Yes he did, early to mid eighties.
