He'll be excellent up to a certain level but if he is involved financially, he's not in the same league as Short.

Ranson had a sports exchange where he tried to get hedge funds interested in investing in football clubs. Did poorly at Coventry when the hedge fund wouldn’t financially back his recruitment plans. We don’t want hedge funds involved to be honest.
 
I like the sound of this one much more than the local consortium.

I appreciate the locals are at very least 'not Ellis Short' but that rumour seems lacking in enough wealth and doesn't appear to bring football experience.

The Pearson consortium at very least have football knowledge/contacts and I imagine at least as much wealth as the locals

I'm in.

The cynic in me thinks that Nixon has probably known info this for weeks and that Bain has asked him to release it now to deflect all the anger about getting relegated.

This might mean that the group is no closer to succeeding. Hopefully that is not right and the relegation has clarified the price.

Sounds like just what we need for where we're going to be next season. It won't need millions but a fresh start with a committed ownership prepared to give Coleman or whoever a competitive budget for that level.

Let's face it we need to start virtually from scratch and build steadily and with financial prudence.

to be fair secretly hoping he isn't in on this consortium as I might have to move house due to a slight misunderstanding that has resulted in a restraining order.......have to say I can't see the problem in running around his garden in a marwood 11 barnet shirt and a jockstrap I'd borrowed off his washing line
