Like I say that's from memory and it was a long time ago. I'm sure you will be busy doing some research and will let me know if I am wrong, Doubt I will hear from you if i am right though and to be fair I'm not bothered either way. I find all the waffle people sprout over historical attendances pretty tedious, my opinion has been and is that both clubs are very well supported and I couldn't care less if a Sunderland fan has a stat that shows we once had a gate of 3k or vice versa. I also find it tedious when Newcastle fans waffle about FA cups won not long after WW2 and when Sunderland fans waffle on about league titles won back in the days when the US 7th Cavalry were slaughtering the Sioux Indians.
I tend to live in modern times and only really concern myself with football matches that happened during my lifetime.

On your second point I quite enjoy listening to people lavish praise on my club no matter who they are, they don't need to be giants of the game.
If you would like to give us and Rafa a little praise for securing premier league status with 5 games to go I'll enjoy that as well.

You lot just come on shouting, insulting people and posting smileys when you don't have an answer.

It just comes across as infantile attention seeking
and obvious that you've absolutely no idea what you want to happen.

A post from over a year ago and you still have it on file and at your fingertips ..... unreal.

Great we have our own section now

It was my suggestion to the Mods ..... I've said you lot should be sectioned, the amount of time you spend on here.

If you didn't have (by your own definition) an 'infantile' mindset, you'd be aware of the search function tbf.

You can blame the mods and the way they have set up the site for having it 'on file and at my fingertips'.

Yes, of course, you put a smiley into the search function and it came up with a year old quote

We had just under 8,000 when we played Norwich i remember, drew 2-2, we were already relegated, then we played Millwall 1st away game next season and took loads down there, anyway as for Arsenal being the worst Arsenal side for ages, aren't they going to win a European Trophy?

  Fuck off did ya.

read it again i never said we took 8,000 tp Norwich, we had that crowd for a home game, it was in responxe to Newcastle's lowest crowds.

TalkShite today claiming Southgate is seriously considering taking Jonjo Shelvey to the world cup.

Maybe their information is wrong and Southgate was just saying he was gonna take a selfie at the world cup.

Don't know why the article says it's a shock call up, i wouldn't be shocked i think it's a no brainer. I'm not saying he should start but his vision and ability to pick out a pass offers something that the squad doesn't have. I think Shelvey in the same side as Vardy would be superb.

Drinkwater and Vardy didn't get much time together for England despite being an outstanding combination for the league champions.
I don't think it fits the system Southgate uses to try and shoehorn Shelvey in there, and I think he'd look well out of his depth against half decent opposition.
