So why all the positivity? Because he talks a good game in press conferences? He's got no style whatsoever, can't decide what to do most weeks. I'd rather have the likes of Neil Warnock managing us.
Not sure that anyone is glowing with positivity, just acknowledgement that he's trying to polish a turd

It's too little too late for Chris Coleman, he needs to be sacked if we go down
Who replaces him then? I doubt many top class managers are going to jump at the chance of managing a third division club who'd have sacked seven managers in less than ten years.

Think it's mainly a case of people wanting a bit of stability, wanting him to do well and fear of who will replace him more than anything else.

The majority who want him to stay will accept that he has been poor thus far no matter how much his hands have been tied.

i have to disagree, without grabban we had no goalscorer and we have keepers that concede any attempt remotely on target. People who say on paper we've got a team who should be doing this and that are deluded. Paddy McNair is our best player now and he was an unproven youngster with no guarantee of success. Who can honestly say that our team is better than where it is? 3 keepers that concede 3 on average per game, unproven youngsters from random clubs mixed with our own, then combine that with veterans that can barely walk.

There's really not much he could have done, i agree his goal should have been to stay up, and he's failed in that respect, but realistically with this squad, staying up would be over achieving. You should be looking at the players more than to sack another manager, besides we can't afford to sack him.

We have 16 draws, that is unacceptable. To have that many wasted opportunities for wins. If we'd turned even 3 of those into wins we'd be out of the relegation zone right now and looking at a win against Burton to keep us up, it's small margins. He's had plenty of time to string some wins together but he has not done it once. We have one more chance to win 3 in a row but it's never going to happen.

thing is though, you can train and practice all you want, set up all you want. teams are still going to get the odd chance at goal and if you are 100% guaranteed to concede every one of those odd chances, you will lose the game. I'd rather acquire a goal keeper or goal keeping coach than a new manager.

If he'd abandoned the stupid 5 at the back earlier, we may have stood a chance as recent performances have been canny.
I agree, he was so bloody conservative. The championship is full of goals, you need to be positive. When we went positive we always scored. It's too little too late now though. You'd think a manager of his stature would have learnt from his mistakes but he hasn't.

We've got points from 22 games and lost 21. That means we've been competitive in more games than not. As I said, if we'd just hung on to win at least 3 of them we'd be staying up, that's all about game management, the goalkeepers can't be the only reason we're heading down.

Hasn't had a penny to spend yet has failed.... classic SMB

How about we judge him this time next year when (hopefully) he's been able to put his own stamp on the squad and not have to accept hand-me-down rejects and freebies to try and scrape us over the line?

Agree with this.

Can’t say he’s done well; but he isn’t the root cause of the problem.

I say keep him and at least get some stability. FWIW I think we’ll go up next year.

Problem for us is were gonna be a huge ego boost for any team that beats us, every game is gonna be like a cup final for them, still think were gonna struggle...
