Yes. Read the NEPL preview linked up earlier in the thread.
Actually there are some interesting names mentioned in those reports:

Mohsin Mukthar @ Benwell Hill - I'm assuming that this is the young lad who was at Newcastle CC over Gosforth way. He's played really well at junior level when representing both Northumberland and Durham.
Daniel Stephenson @ Eppleton. Know Dan and his father well. Big move for him leaving Sacriston after all these years.
James Wilson @ Hetton Lyons - I didnt know he had left CLS CC. Wicketkeeper batsman who will join up with another lad who left CLS CC a year or two ago.
Jacob McCann @CLS CC - from Durham City. This is the lad married to Danielle Hazell, Geoff's daughter. Supposedly a cracking batsman. Hasnt he scored over 1000 runs in the last 2 or 3 consecutive seasons?
Durham Cricket Academy - going to be interesting too see which younguns are given a chance this year. Lads are starting to come through that my lad has played with and it will be interesting too see if young Jonny Bushnell gets a game for them. He's only 16 and is an exceptional batsman and not a bad bowler either. The lad from Northumberland might play as well. His name escapes me but he has already scored something like 5 or 6 hundreds for N'land and he is only 16 as well.

I believe Adam Khan has signed for Burnopfield.
Yes, thats right. forgot about that. I got a text from his father the other week confirming it. He left Brandon IIRC and wasnt quite sure where he was going to but Burnopfield is an ideal destination for him. Adam is a really good batsman and has spent some time over the winter with Dale Benkenstein, who his family know well, over in South Africa. Neil Killeen knows Adam well anyway particularly from the spell he had at Annfield Plain. He's played before with Marty Oswell's son at APCC.

Luke Doneathy ? from Stocksfield
Yes, thats him. Last saw him play v N Yorkshire at Masham towards the end of last summer. 2 day game. Very highly thought of and has played really well at junior level. His father is from Sunderland and is a red and white.

Big powerful lad who bowls exceptionally quick. I always thought of him as a batsman but his father tells me that the DCB consider him a bowler.

Wonder if that's the son of a lad I used to know, from Seaburn, great lad, always had a smile on his face. Ex-RN and got sunk twice in the Falklands.

I dont think he is from Seaburn. I spoke to him at length during the game I mentioned above and I'm sure he was from somewhere like Hylton or Farringdon - summit like that. I could be wrong like as it isnt a very common surname.

"4 experienced players are not available this year and have all been replaced by talented, but inexperienced, junior players".

I didnt see that. I wonder who they are. I'm assuming that this must include Breese and Thorp. Did I hear right then that Breese may be coaching somewhere?

One of the talented youngsters will be Matty Oswell who played a couple of times for Durham seconds last year.

I assumed Breese would be one. Thorp possibly another? I imagine Killeen will have coaching commitments which limit his playing time too - but it's purely guesswork from me to be honest.

I could be wrong but I had it in my mind that he had got involved in the coaching of the England womens team? Does that ring a bell with anyone?

Could Felling not just have come out and named their 'English pro' in that NEPL preview like

If it is, who we think it is, they pretty much did anyway by that description . Unless anyone has any other suggestions of who it could be?!

In fairness, they probably couldn't name him if the t's haven't been crossed and the i's are still left undotted......?

See the premier league are doing a senior league trick and won’t relegate the bottom club in division 1.

Interesting scorecard from the Academy match against Chester at Ropery lane. The Academy batted first and made 223 but the opening batsmen named R Davies scored 147 of them.
Anybody know who he is, not a name I have come across.
