Burnopfield NEPL 2

Not sure about the top division. Hasn’t South north lost a few players?

Think NEPL1 could be a good watch again this year - not sure what the rest of Brandon's squad are like bar the big 3 who will be relied on - get the feeling that league can't be buried by 2/3 gun players now.

Look forward to seeing how Sacriston do in the Premier as well - will be good at home I imagine, much like Eppleton were/are having come up.

South North should be favourites and probably rightly so despite losing some players - still got a very good side. Interesting to see how they/the league do in national competitions again - they'll be keen not to get kicked out of any national trophies this year to try for the double :lol:

Few teams aren't allowed overseas either so may be an in testing how clubs such as Newcastle go this year

I would assume relegation between Whitburn, Eppleton, Felling and Stockton. Rest should be fine

Promotion Brandon with Sunderland and Burnmoor there are there abouts

Absolutely amazed that Burnopfield are being written off. They are absolutely my tip to top that division. Be very interesting too see where they are come the end of the season.

I’ve hear Killien not playing much this season due to coaching commitments. Have they signed anyone else on top of last season??

They've pretty much written themselves off, Killeen won't feature as much and it appears they've lost more players than they've gained.

I would have thought the amount of money they have at their disposal players would be flocking there.

NEPL Premier Division :- Sacriston
NEPL Division One :- Brandon
NEPL Division Two :- Chester Le Street
NEPL Division Three :- Washington

Have they?
As for Neil - rumour isnt it. Has Neil said this himself?
Players left - ?

If they can get their strongest side out every week. The first team had to borrow players at various junctures last season due to a paucity of players and injuries and it had a big effect on the second team. At one point the seconds went to Newcastle with about 6 under 18's in their side and it all caught up with the team towards the end of the season. Cracking game at Benwell Hill (who won the league) when they did field their virtual full side out last game of the season IIRC. On and off for rain. Great game.

Got a few younguns coming through though which bodes well for the future years.

As far as I'm aware they have added to their squad. Mel Betts also gone there to coach the younguns (although remains a Sacriston player) so they are well set for the future I would say.

Yes. Read the NEPL preview linked up earlier in the thread.
"4 experienced players are not available this year and have all been replaced by talented, but inexperienced, junior players".

I didnt see that. I wonder who they are. I'm assuming that this must include Breese and Thorp. Did I hear right then that Breese may be coaching somewhere?

One of the talented youngsters will be Matty Oswell who played a couple of times for Durham seconds last year.

I believe Adam Khan has signed for Burnopfield.
