If we'd kept Mannone .....

Mannone was capable of howlers...but this trio are dreadful all the time. Our defenders aren't very good but playing in front of any of that sad sack trio would make you shit yourself.

10 points minimum more we'd have with a half reasonable keeper

I don’t think the side has faith in Camp tbh. It was noticeable yesterday after the pen had gone in Cattermole looked at Camp and gave a ‘what the hell was that’ type gesture presumably for the hash he made of things that led to the pen, and the one time he did make a decent save there was no fist pumping or high/low five that has come the norm when anyone does something half decent defensively.

yawn he did a great bit of business getting mannone off the books
Keep telling it as it is Martin. You keep convincing yourself it was the right decision. Even though that 2 million in the back pocket has cost a lot more than that to the value of the club. Next season when we turn up at Fleetwood and Southend you can say that 2 million was worth it.

It shows how the club has prioritised player sale fees above anything else. We all know it and when you have that priority the outcome is always likely to be catastrophic. Sadly it's highly likely it's going to get worse before it turns as we'll clear out any further players worth anything come the Summer and won't spend any oney on replacements. League 1 is an awful standard compared to what we are used to, but has beens and raw U23s are not going to be world beaters that level for sure.

If only we'd kept Mannone... if only we'd kept Khazri... if only McNair, Watmore, Kirchhoff, Gibson, Williams etc. weren't all made out of poppadoms... if only Grabban had stayed... if only the rest of them weren't shite.

You say he was rescued by a poor defence but we were playing against far better strikers so it's all relative. What I saw yesterday was one howler and another Camp could have stopped against a wonder strike and one Mannone could have stopped so no comparison there really.
Are you saying Mannone should have kept McNair's strike out?

There first one was literally trickling to him as well and it came out of his grasp nearly at the same pace.

Wonder strike - a yard to his left and from 35 yards and couldn’t move his feet

in the 2 games v reading this season mannone has been the best keeper on display in both of them (ruiter, camp for us respectively). the home 1-3 defeat was coleman's first game in charge of us.
