Bus from station takes you directMe. Leaving from Paddington about 12pm. What’s the best way to get from Reading station to the Madejski?
Piece of piss mate, loads of quick trains. Easy place to get to, even before Crossrail.

The ground is in a shite location but you’ve got a decent amount of pubs within a walking distance of the train station. They’ve just opened a Brewdog on Castle Street about 10 minutes walk, just down from Zero Degrees which brews their own stuff on site. The Wetherspoons is The Hope Tap on Friar Street (out the station, up to the crossroads and turn right), and they’ve got an O’Neills and Walkabout up the other end of Friar Street. The bus takes about 10 minutes to the ground, but coming back into town can be a nightmare, youll be lucky to get back into town by 5.45.

Cheers fella. Might bus it on the way there and walk to the station on the way back. Easy to get back to London from so I’m not in any massive hurry after the game. It’s a long way mate.
They used to have a fair few buses running near the station.
Plenty of pubs outside station and that area.
The ground is next to the M4.

The other place I've heard about is The Three Guineas which is actually at the station - presumably away friendly. The original ZeroDegrees is in Bristol - I know all about them![]()

Indeed loads of trains to Paddington.
Some decent pubs by the way.
Used to drink there weekends many years back.
Nice Women
5 minutes if that from station rammed with bars and pubs.
Not that easy to get in in groups. Mind you Swindon classed as a bit of a derby and Police all over. Reading are no bother like.
Me plus the bairn. For some reason he wanted it for his 16th birthday
Christ that’s getting on a it for a relegation mindLook on it as character forming. I was 14 when I experienced my first relegation in 69/70
