Coming from Brissle. Aim to get to Reading midday-ish. Any word on drinking destinations?
The ground is in a shite location but you’ve got a decent amount of pubs within a walking distance of the train station. They’ve just opened a Brewdog on Castle Street about 10 minutes walk, just down from Zero Degrees which brews their own stuff on site. The Wetherspoons is The Hope Tap on Friar Street (out the station, up to the crossroads and turn right), and they’ve got an O’Neills and Walkabout up the other end of Friar Street. The bus takes about 10 minutes to the ground, but coming back into town can be a nightmare, youll be lucky to get back into town by 5.45.

45ish minute walk from the station to the ground unless you get on one of the shuttle busses

I fancy a decent little walk after the game as the busses must surely get f***ing rammed

It’s dreadful. We played there midweek once, and by the time I managed to get a train towards Bristol, there were already QPR supporters on the train. It’s a couple of miles and you’re probably best off walking.

Will be there, but only 1 stop down the line in Didcot. Looking forward to a good drink and shouting constructive criticism at the useless knackers.

Me, no more than an hours drive from mine so why not. I usually manage 4/5 london/south coast games each season, along with a few home games when I'm back up. This'll be my first away this season as dates haven't fallen kindly for me.

Hoping for a strong performance and a nice comfortable win.

Me. Leaving from Paddington about 12pm. What’s the best way to get from Reading station to the Madejski?

Under 25 ticket for a tenner

Well done Reading FC

Still need to sort out a train from Paddington
Piece of piss mate, loads of quick trains. Easy place to get to, even before Crossrail.
