Also why not publish the ones that got very good or outstanding reviews rather than focusing on the bad? The city has enough problems without it's ' local ' paper running it down and only focusing on the negative.

The article is in picture form, as the Echo are unable to use words, which normally is a fundamental requirement of journalists .

It shouldn't be too surprising that the Echo run negative stories about Sunderland, IIRC the management team running the Echo are a now a bunch of mags.

No idea who runs it, I bought my last one the day before they moved it to Sheffield.
 
I see the academisation of schools has been a roaring success.

Actually, it's probably went exactly as expected for those who implemented it.

This it what happens when people and parents especially are apathetic. When Monkwearmouth changed into an academy, they sent an invite to every parent to come to the school and meet the head teacher to discuss it. In a school of around 800 pupils there was only myself and one other parent who bothered to turn up.
