Memories of Childhood 'Snacks'

Woolworths used to have a hot food counter and they did hamburgers swimming in onions. They were lush in my school dinner break or when I was dolling off.
Just fot reminded of Westlers - had more dog in them than Hot Dogs.

It's amusing you think I was a fat kid for some reason. But no I wasn't even though I liked my sweets - along with everyone else on this thread! :p:lol:
I think it was the image of the chubby (but cuddly I'm sure) Ribena blackcurrant when you cheated your cousin out of that talent competition prize. I'm sure the stories are all mixed up but perception is reality Twiggy.

 If I'd been chubby I'd have won the Miss Ribena competition - as the kid who won was. Still hurts! I won the dancing competition when, embarrassingly, I was in my 20s, between me and my 12 year old cousin. I needed the fiver more than him.:lol:

Abc letters. And bovril crisps. My love of both got me into strife as I had purposely 'missed' the school bus one day. Stupidly I went on the travelling van that we used to have to buy both and was spotted by a nosey neighbour who reported back to my Mother.
Was gonna say Smiths Bovril crisps. Choss.

Also Burton’s XL beef barbecue. Could get them at Washington baths and the smell on your hands of chlorine mixed with crisps was class!

Anyone remember Mint Cracknel? Two flat chocolate squares with stringy minty candy inside.

Or Ice Breaker? Chocolate with little chunks of mint inside.

Loved all of those. Have you seen the new Doritos advert? A different take on finger licking good/

Crisps used to cost a tanner (2.5 pence).
Nah, crisps were 3d.

Give me mint cracknel and I don't care it'll chase the blues away.

Sioxxe sticks and bazooka joes. Hate the smell of bubbly now.
