Mag on the Pitch

Christ alive some precious fannies on here. Id let a lad in red and white take a dump in the middle of the pitch if he was raising awareness and funds for the bairns charity.
But you don't go to games and never have so your opinions on match day antics are irrelevant

Of course I'm not offended, but like several others (are they all on a wind up?) on this very thread I thought despite the good deed he acted himself when there was no need.

I don’t think others are on a wind up. Unbelievably, I sadly think there are people who are genuinely seething at this. I just don’t think you see this as the childish act you claim it to be.
To be fair you’ve hooked a few in so credit where it’s due.

got much bigger things to worry about than some fundraiser with a black & white top on having a bit of giggle, fully expect mags to take the piss at every available opportunity....I know I would be if the roles were reversed, if you can't take it don't dish it out.......seems some people are more worked up by this than the actual state of the club

A very wise post.

I know the lads who did the Crossbar challenge at half time did a fantastic thing for young Bradley by raising the money they did, I won’t ever take that away from them as it’s a great cause and something close to the heart of every sunderland fan.

However to allow the Mag to run around the pitch like he did was just embarrassing man, how the club let it happen just sums it all up really for me, the whole half time crossbar challenge yesterday just felt like a farce.

It was uncle ellis working covertly, trying to gauge the feeling inside the ground.

imagine Newcastle letting a Sunderland fan decked in red and white onto the pitch to knee slide in front of the Gallowgate.

Exactly.

I'm sure they would let any Sunderland fan onto the pitch who has just helped raise £11k for a kids charity. It's hardly like he was offering folk out man, lighten up.

there's a bit of a difference between allowing him onto the pitch with a cheque and allowing him to peg it to the South Stand doing the "Shearer".

We let someone who knee-slid in a derby humiliation play in a charity match for the full game (I think) a few months later.

Charity trumps rivalry.

you miss the point, why get all frothy about it? if he's done all that walking for a wee bairn and raised the money i'd still give him a clap .........he can do the PDC slide and i wouldn't give a fuck because of what he did, i'd chuckle and see it for what it was.

 and? That's like saying (hypothetically) you let Di Canio come back and manage his team if he ever got another job in the premier league. You could hardly say no, fuck off and watch it somewhere else like.

bit of a difference between Di Canio coming back to play for the other team and a fan decked in black and white doing the Shearer.

we did give him a clap. He then turned, hit the cross bar as they were walking off and sprinted across the penalty area doing the Shearer.
