I’ve watched enough games. Cattermole has been a far better player for Sunderland than Rodwell. Better value for money, better performances, better character. Everything. It’s a nonsense argument and I don’t care what stats you have.

Well actually, if you’re a stats man, remind me how many times it took us to win a game that Rodwell started in?

Not disputing the early days of Cattermole. The last 2/3 seasons he’s been either injured, suspended or offering nothing. He’s finished.

We can't because A) he's here on good wages for three years and b) alternatives are currently worse.

It's simple stuff but people just can't get their heads around it - we can't afford to have more players here who aren't contributing and bringing more in. We haven't got a pot to piss in.

He doesn’t have a body of an athlete and his inability to read the game equates to him being finished. No chance anyone will take him and I’m sure he knows that.....
