As long as we don’t have the squad and resources to bring someone in to replace him. Quite simple really.

There’s absolutely no point in pinning the blame on any one player. The squad, from back to front, is absolutely woeful. Some players are finished, some players will never be good enough and some don’t give a shite. The perfect storm.

Blame hapless mismanagement from the very top.
 
He’s finished. His attitude of late is disgraceful.

In the time Rodwell has been at the club he has better stats and contribution than Cattermole.

We can't because A) he's here on good wages for three years and b) alternatives are currently worse.

It's simple stuff but people just can't get their heads around it - we can't afford to have more players here who aren't contributing and bringing more in. We haven't got a pot to piss in.

I’ve watched enough games. Cattermole has been a far better player for Sunderland than Rodwell. Better value for money, better performances, better character. Everything. It’s a nonsense argument and I don’t care what stats you have.

Well actually, if you’re a stats man, remind me how many times it took us to win a game that Rodwell started in?

He's got more goals, but he's won one game or something that he's started, whereas up until this season the stats with Cattermole in the team rather than out of it was far far far greater win percentage.
