I'd always keep kodi simply for the number of games, can watch any premier league game and not just the few that sky decide to show. Mind if I could get all the entertainment and sport for £30 a month I'd get it back. Alas every time I look it's been about £50, plus more if I want HD (even though that's pretty much a standard thing now and is hardly some brand new advance). If I go for all that I then find that I just get sky sports and can't get the Champions League and some prem games that are on BT unless I pay more again. I'm sure it ended up about £70 a month for the lot in HD and that's just too much considering how little interest I have in most of the matches and how rarely Sunderland away games are on

It's a canny deal at the moment but as soon as there's a price change i'll bin it..i don't have BT so I miss all there games and the Champions league..it shouldn't have been £30 but when I spoke to them I pleaded poverty and they came up with that.

Once the Middle East get their act together and form a decent league with their own superstars the money will reduce.

Have sky, good for TV etc but don't get sky sports, just movies for the kids, the alternatives for me are shite....if that helps

Football is as popular as ever
Forgot to mention, in England, world wide it's becoming more popular,

You ever know a time when footy fans have been so disinterested in the England team, FA cup etc, I can't and I remember when it nose dived in the early 80's I know lots of people that's just lost interest, all ages and from different part of the country. just my observation like.

Its still massively popular in England.

Football is very popular. Living in the North East you might not think it as both clubs are shite.

That may be the case, but It reminds me of the late 70's when it started to wain, the only difference back then was people were still interested in the national team and cup comps, doesn't seem the case now and I talk to more and more people that aren't bothered about watching it, could be though, that if you took a vote between footy fans they'd say the opposite, but sometimes it's hard so see when you're on the inside. for me, I don't care, it's just an observation.

Well I wasn't arguing mate, just voicing an opinion really, @SAFCOldie came up with a canny point, that's maybe the future? I think English football will become less significant has the years roll by, the Premier seems hell bent in following the Italian model of the 90's, that became so boring no fucker wanted to watch it, the cut and thrust of English football, that foreigners liked to watch, seems to be eroding with all these teams that go out to not lose, rather than going out to win and we don't seem to producing the same quality or amount of players we used too, sad really.

If the continuing trend of fans getting sick of the hideous money in the Premier league I hope that benefits teams further down the pyramid.

Can't see it like, though it's a rosy thought, there's always going to be people that feel standing in derelict concrete stadiums watching poor quality football, romantic, I can't see it catching on with the masses though, mind!! could be what's need if we want the game returned to the working man.
I reckon developing nations will eventually overtake us and we'll drift off into obscurity, just like our industry's have, after all, it's size that counts now and we're just a tiny little Island that's punched above it's weight for decades, maybe we've seen and had the Golden era of British football?

social media has had some fairly big influence in recent years

We'd be worse off than some and better than others - Man Utd being one example.
I reckon we'd be worse off than Man Utd, significantly worse off. They owe more than us, but have five or six times the t/o and a load more saleable assets, whereas, we'd be fucked on a most fundamental level.
