I've just got Sky back in..i've had a Kodi box and Openbox and just got sick of sticking streams, picture breaking up etc..i'm paying £20 for the sports and £10 for the entertainment..love me football and I was missing it all with the Kodi stuff..£7.50 per week..price of two pints these days.

I'd always keep kodi simply for the number of games, can watch any premier league game and not just the few that sky decide to show. Mind if I could get all the entertainment and sport for £30 a month I'd get it back. Alas every time I look it's been about £50, plus more if I want HD (even though that's pretty much a standard thing now and is hardly some brand new advance). If I go for all that I then find that I just get sky sports and can't get the Champions League and some prem games that are on BT unless I pay more again. I'm sure it ended up about £70 a month for the lot in HD and that's just too much considering how little interest I have in most of the matches and how rarely Sunderland away games are on

The hole SAFC are in is one caused by the sheer greed of the top 6. We need to hit back at the whole rotten setup.

One way to do it, pretty simply, is to cancel your Sky and BT subscriptions, get your friends, and family to do the same and spread the word on social media. We just need a hashtag to get the ball rolling...

Did aye, saved £120 a month......the flaw in ya plan is the vast majority support the top 6 so nee one gives a Fook about the dross......

But aye Fook off Murdoch.....

 I cancelled my TV subscriptions years ago. it won't change a thing, Footballs loosing it's popularity, that happens from time to time, of course it doesn't help when your teams dropping like lead balloon, it just means you're loosing interest quicker.

Being totally against Rupert Murdoch and everything he stands for, I never bought into any of it in the first place. I have so many things to do that totally hold my interest that I am never bored and couldn’t fit in the junk that football has become anyway. There are better things to do than sitting in front of a screen for hours on end.

No doubt that SKY have" jumped the shark " with its football coverage which is a shame because if you go back 25/26 years their coverage was revolutionary , back in the day we only had the "match" on a few times a season which featured only man utd and Liverpool , sky gave us a chance to see all the football teams play each and a chance to see different players rather than a 10 minute goals round up at 11.30 on a Saturday night, Andy Gray was a brilliant pundit and the "boot room " show was a cut above anything else and since , Monday night football was also a winner , and about the only thing now they get right , Sky also covered Italian and Scottish football , and acquired the FA cup games and did a great job of showing highlight packages when those leagues & cups were competitive I always remember your Chelsea and west ham cup games which were on sky , for football mad nuts like me and you it was a dream come true, it was still standing in most of the grounds (a fiver at QPR when we were good) it was still a working mans game and you still had this wonderful coverage which we had been starved of for years
its also in a way changed the way we drink in pubs back then pubs shut at 2.30 on a sunday now because of the football they are open all day to cover the games

Unfortunately as the seasons went on the more the monster grew, the bosmnan rule came in and players had the power and could dictate their wages, all seater stadiums and new stadiums came in and the average lads on the streets have now been priced out , the cups are not important as coming "4th" is the holy grail , a new foreign signing would have you excited for weeks now its like "meh"
what's killed it is the government letting other media outlets bid for the rights we have had Satanta , ESPN, BT , we have had PPV games, that's what's driven the price up that and selling the oversees rights , that's what's made all of this money pour in and out of the game , this is what's helped average players become multi millionaires and that's what has priced out you , me and other fans, SKY have lost control now they are trying to save the golden goose subscriptions are down and people are cancelling in their droves completely or to get cheaper deals, even BT are now reviewing their next bids , people are getting bored of it , they are finding better things to do then fund the lifestyle of average players if SKY go it will be Amazon or someone else by then I don't think people will care anymore it may bring back more 3pm games but then again it probably wont

Well I've done my bit: I've farted in a box and sent it to Jeff Stelling.

I can't tell you what's in the box I've sent to Paul Merson #ripe

Would you be advocating this if we were challenging near the top of the premiership.
I very much doubt it.
Mismanagement has caused our downfall not Sky.

To you or in general?

See the man that is Jim White is now having his radio show introduced as the " legiondary Jim White show" ..Their own hype knows no limits these days..constant backslapping of each other and claiming all and sundry to be their good friends. Journalists( the new experts on football) that appear on the shows constantly praising other journalists" work "..it makes you want to reach for a bucket!....wish the humble man that was mr.armfield was still with us and commentating
