Neil Warnock's Book

Worst mistake my club ever made was sacking Warnock for that prize bellend Mark Hughes , the football we played when we won the championship was some of the best ive seen , he even go the best out of Adel Tarabat something no other manager has ever done , we had skill and brawn ,
I suppose he is one of those managers you hate from the outside but when he comes to your club you love the fella

Why is he a rubbish Premier League manager?

He nearly kept Sheff United up and they won compensation over the Tevez situation, and he was sacked at QPR and Palace before he had a chance to keep them up.

Who's to say he couldn't have done what Dyche has done if he'd had the opportunity?

Remind me if I ever need a defence of my career to not get you to write it: 'He nearly managed the minimum requirements in his job on one occasion, and the other two times he was sacked for being shit before the companies went under!'

You're twisting it. See my point about Dyche.

Jordan’s book is one of the better football biogs. If smbrs could only look past the accent, flashiness, suntan and realise not everyone has the same personality they’d find it informative.
it's a great book

rinses cushion face anarl

So did Reid, warnock is about 70, if he was going to make it as a top flight manager we would have seen it by now

He's always said he prefers working in the lower leagues and he's been labelled as someone who's good at getting teams promoted, it doesn't mean he couldn't do a better job than a lot of average Premier League managers.

I think he’s great when he’s on the wireless too, yes he’s a bit of an arse but he’s not afraid to speak his mind and does talk sense.

Most who get the sack as well

I used to love the days of his Sheffield United teams. They were involved in some cracking Championship games on Sky, particularly at Bramall Lane

Did a brilliant job getting them up, then cheated out of the PL by West Ham and Tevez

I know West Ham got fined, but they stayed up and would not have been bothered by the fine considering tbe TV money even back then.
Every man abd his dog knew third party ownership was illegal or here. They board must have known.

I never wanted Warnock at Leeds when he was mentioned before, but once he came he was a breath of fresh air and made us feel like a big club again.

Most other Leeds fans hated him, though, because they're backwards.

Whenever he was accused of playing only playing hoofball I would point out that he won the league with QPR and Taraabt was player of the year. If you won the league by Clint Hill hoofing it to Helguson, that wouldn't have happened.

I think he took the Leeds job to quickly after getting the sack from us , it was never suited to him and I think he felt that , but as a neutral I don't think he did a bad job at yours , and yes the football was very good we dominate teams with flair and grit which is what you need to get any team out of the championship

1) 3rd party ownership was NOT illegal at the time
2) the fine was way over a years tv money and very nearly bankrupted us lead to our eventual relegation too

what was illegal was a clause in the contract saying that Joorbachian (who just moved Coutinho to Barca) could move them on in any window without West ham agreeing first

this clause was never activated and remained just something in the contract that never got used, and it WAS West Hams new board that went to the FA when they realised it may not be correct

there were 4 court cases over this, West Ham won 3 Sheff United won 1 yet we had to pay

the only reason we did not continue to fight is tat when we went into debt dueto the IClandic banking crisis the auditor refused to sign off on our accounts until this was settled, if we had kept fighting the club would have been forced into administration
