Has Khan brought back stop and search yet? Anybody with a hood and Nike air max should be fair game for a search after 6pm.
I hope your boy isn't too shook up. I've worked all over the country and the only place I didn't feel comfortable was at Kingsland Road near Dalston Junction. I don't know if that is anywhere near.

Got to look after #1 on the mean streets of gritty London. You'd panic and end up in tgi FridayYou snobby lot would have him in a cage at a freak show

Can’t have been in the past ten years.
A no go area in the past but not the recent past.

You will be fine if you're from Silky. My wife's from there and I use her as a shieldHe's fine.
I'm going there tonight...
Close enough for me.Mugging?
You just confirmed what he said, Greater London is second in that list. Because somewhere else tops it doesn't mean it's not common in London. It is.
Thinking about it it must have been gentrified since I was there. I was working on the land around McDonald's and think they were building new shops and apartments. That’s my mate Gideon fucked then.

Large areas of the police should be renamed Crime Recorders.About 11.30 in that London. Walking back from the tube he was followed and surrounded by 5 kids. One of them flashed a knife and demanded his wallet (as usual it was fairly empty) and then threatened him if he didn't give them the pin number for his bank card, saying they'd hold him until one of them had used it, and woe betide him if he gave a false PIN. As they were holding him loads of cars passed and a few pedestrians looked away (this happened by a major road) until a couple stopped and my lad asked them to call the police. This spooked the gang and they cleared off. All this happened 5 minutes walk from our house where we've lived 20-odd years.
They managed to withdraw the £200 limit from his account (don't know his chances of the bank writing that off - he cancelled the card as soon as he got home) and he's lost his driving license, work ID card, etc. They didn't want his phone cos "it wasn't good enough".
The police have gone to the trouble of taking a statement over the phone and said there's not much more they'll do. When pressed, they said they'll think about looking at CCTV but no promises.
My general feeling is, thank god he's safe but what a shitty society we live in.
I'm going to the Vortex jazz club. It's weird going there: it's set in one corner of a brutalist concrete square which at night becomes a hang-out for hoody-gangsta types. On the night of a gig you've got a queue of white, middle class, middle aged men surrounded by what looks like an audition for extras for Mad Max.You will be fine if you're from Silky. There's a f***ing sign outside the station saying don't use your phones ffs and "muggings aren't common"You just confirmed what he said, Greater London is second in that list. Because somewhere else tops it doesn't mean it's not common in London. It is.
A pretty clear one. Is it cowardice or laziness?Agree, but if the police make absolutely no effort to catch them what kind of message does that send out?
You mean what a shitty Society London has become and it’s not hard to figure out... hang on????
