Building kids Xmas stuff

I had some belters when the bairn was little. Crappy plastic girly stuff.

Haha, I built a table football table for my son last year, got it built then noticed I had all the players facing the wrong way so had to take it all apart and put it back together. I was foaming, I blamed it on the missus for distracting me, we had our usual xmas eve argument. The OP has a point.
 
Luckily I have nothing to erect this year, the most I'll have to do is bling up my bairns acoustic guitar with some stickers to add that extra personal touch :D.
 
When did it become normal to pre-build your kids lego for them to play with Christmas morning? I can't remember that ever happening as a kid. Surely the whole point (and fun) of lego is to build the stuff yourself? I f you want a pirate ship or whatever to play with why not buy a toy pirate shop rather than a bricky one?
 
Can remember about 7 years ago putting together one of my kids bikes. It was 1:30 and one of the stabilisers wasn’t in the box.

A kind @stretch came to the rescue though.

I built a football table a couple of years ago on Christmas Eve. Did it by myself despite it saying 2 man job on the instructions. Would have been easy with 2, was a nightmare by myself. No sooner had I clipped one side in place then the other side would pop out, and repeat .... Few expletives thrown about that day.

Exactly, its just mental building kids lego for them.
 
got loads to build for xmas in the next few days, the one im looking forward to most is the football goals supposedly for my 2 boys
 
You need a screwdriver and wire cutters just to get it out the box and put the f***ing battery’s in these days

I helped the bairn build a Lego Technics crane last year. It took me about 6 months.
