The Mrs bought a caravan about a month ago, with the intention of taking the kids away regularly to various places during the summer. I'm not really gone on the idea. If we were guaranteed the weather, I would be more enthusiastic.
We had that intention but it wasn't really working out for weekends. Once you finish work at 4, go to storage, hook on and drive to site and then get set up with awning it's 9pm. Then you have to be off site 11am Sunday.

So we went for a seasonal pitch where we can leave awning up all the time. It's a lovely site with a great play park for the kids and loads of other families. Topper pub on site too so can take the kids boozing till 10pm in the summer :D

Weekend in Belfast in Jan
Easter time go to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand for 3 weeks.
Still trying to decide on somewhere end of summer. Potentially Cyprus or turkey

It's great in theory & I have no doubt that it would be very enjoyable in practice, if the circumstances were right. But what you've described, just isn't fun, in my opinion. I like getting to a place & not having much to do before I can enjoy myself. & definitely not having to do much before I leave on the Sunday. We went camping a couple of years ago and only had a small tent, but went with much more experienced campers so gave them a hand getting set up when we got there & obviously when they were packing up to go home. I was shattered from the sauce from the night before & was in considerable pain packing all the gear up.

Fuck. That.

Amsterdam in March, Benidorm in April (stag do), Russia in June, Croatia in September (stag do)

No flights booked but all in the diary.

Rumours of an England friendly in Nigeria so would potentially add that to the list and then hoping for Barbados in October to relax a bit!

Some mates also keen on Ibiza but need to find the time!!

Three weeks snowboarding in Colorado then in the Summer land in Chicago and come back from New York three weeks later; got nowt booked for the middle bits but thinking of San Francisco, San Diego and Austin

Krakow/Lviv - Come back NYD
Melbourne for 2 weeks in Feb.
Then looking to do a european tour to coincide with the CL final.

Looking at this route > Lisbon > Porto > Rome > Kiev > Prague

Or Berlin > Budapest > Kiev > Prague.

USA for the best part of three weeks at the beginning of April - Boston, NY, San Fransisco and Las Vegas. We were going to drive through Yosemite SF - LV but sacked that off in the end.

Ive done Spinalonga a few times and its worth reading the book called the Island by Ian Heslops wife 1st, brings it very much to life

I have already read that hence wanting to go!

Reminds me: Turkey holiday people, read Birds without Wings by Louis de Bernieres (which is a brilliant book anyway). Then visit Kayakoy which is a short taxi ride from Olu Deniz. It's very worthwhile.

Holidays/trips away

Feb - Newcastle for the night for the darts
March - Cheltenham for a couple days at the races & York for a couple nights
April - Manchester for the night
June - Tenby for a week & Royal Ascot for a couple days racing
October - Possibly going to Paris for the Arc Racing for 4 nights

Lovely place if you get decent weather.
