Watching BBC coverage, Andrew Castle’s a decent commentator but sky guys are far better.
I've been watching it on Sky all week but for some reason I'm watching it on BBC now (I suppose I'm usually at work when the BBC's coverage is on at 2pm). I do like Marcus and the Eurosport team though.

Been a good match this and pleased it went to a third. I quite like Dimitrov so pleased it looks like he's going to take this and he's played very well all week, winning all of his matches so far, a couple of them very convincingly. He was defending loads of points at the Australian Open so these bonus points here will serve him well in case he does have an early exit in January.

The tournament has lacked the big names for me this year. I had semi final tickets but sold them when Murray & Djokovic pulled out. I haven't connected to the newer players yet. Maybe catch them at Wimbledon next summer.

Tough on Goffin, few beat Nadal and Fed in the same week but win no trophy, who do Belgium play in the Davis Cup?

France mate. Mind, a lot better showing from Goffin then their group match earlier in the week.

Yeah, it's going to be an interesting few years ahead. I do think there is enough young talent coming through but the transitional years once Roger and Rafa and maybe Murray retire could be tough. Dimitrov is an interesting one. He's been a around for a while and has always had potential. He's just had the best year of his career winning his first masters in Cincinatti and obvious this, but he didn't have to beat a legit top 10 player in either of those events, I do hope he pushes on though and has a good 2018.

It's strange. Probably because Sunderland have been shite for a good 18 months now, but I'd probably consider tennis to be my favourite sport now. Looking forward to the Aussie Open, although it's a shame it'll pretty much be on when most are asleep.

Davis Cup should be on Eurosport Friday lunchtime/afternoon, France clear favourites?

Yeah, Goffin needs to win both matches and hope Darcis can steal a win. Not out of the question, Darcis steps his level up in big matches and Davis Cup matches quite a lot.

It's a 1/4 vs 11/4 type match in France's favour. Think it's on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 12.55pm start on the Friday, but it's on BBC website not Eurosport (not sure if it's also on via the BBC red button though).

The doubles an easy French win, as said, depends on Darcis to pick up a win.
They should change the format for Davis Cup, down to three sets, more players, include the women.

Amazon Prime had the rights to the ATP 2019. They'll be no tennis on sky from that point.

They've also got the US Open from next year which is a blow. Gonna be grim needing 3 subscriptions now to follow my favourite sports. FreeSports will still have the majority of ATP 250 events, although I don;t have too much interest in those.

Goffin up 2-0 and a break in the third, looks like we're going to a fifth rubber. Darcis v Gasquet presumably. Gasquet is the favourite but Darcis is 5-0 in fifth rubber matches in the Davis Cup when the tie is still alive.

My favourite tournament in any sport. Absolutely love it.

Live stream is on the BBC site -

Thought it was still Pouille in the final rubber, although Gasquet would make more sense? Ah, just said there that it's still undecided.

Great win for Goffin.
