Hands up cattermole

Grayson continually picks him despite ever decreasing returns. Can only think the manager is too scared to drop players who have influence in the dressing room.
Probably be a watershed moment for Grayson if he had the swingers to do it.

They'll all gan running off to Byrne sorry Bain the poor little darlings

& some people on here think O'Shea & uselessmole are leaders of men

Grayson still seems to think that players who have played, mainly f***ing shite, in the Premier League have an automatic pass into the side.

It's real second rate weakness by Grayson that he still picks the slow, limited, pointing, clapping, gurning clown, no matter how many weeks he is outclassed, outpassed, and outfought.

It's been blatantly obvious for months that Cattermole brings nothing at all to the team.
Makes me wonder whose running things... the players or Grayson
Nobody with an ounce of football knowledge would keep picking cattermole and hope for a different response ... He's been dogshit for about 2 years ... He's a card magnet liability

soon as i saw the line up with catts in it and kone i groaned, ndong may be better if he had more help in the middle but basically, i have given up hoping.

It doesn't make any difference imo. 2 goals in 173 appearances is absolutely pathetic from any outfield player. Imagine his shot to goal conversion record.

Instead of legging home to play golf, his time would be better spent improving his game. The same can be said about the others.
Its not to play marra, its to visit the 19th hole!!

Tell that to Claude Makele who has 3 in his last 250 games. Before people start suggesting i'm comparing Cattermole to Makelele i'm not. I am just responding to the fact that 2 goals in 173 games isn't necessarily pathetic if you aren't expected to score. Makele isn't expected to score goals and neither is Cattermole He is expected to tackle, break the play up and set moves in motion, protect the back four but hes not doing any of those and getting closed down and being a genuine liability in the process. That's what he should be criticized for.

He scored 17 in his career. Still a lot more than Cattermole.

Load of shite man. How piss poor Cattermole is now doesn’t mean that someone who said he was one of our better players 18 months ago was wrong. He has been an important player for Sunderland but has regressed alarmingly quickly,

Aye. He hasn't always been shite for us. He has had some tremendous games.

But for me he's never really recovered from that nightmare game v Villa.

For some reason Poyet thought it a good idea for him to take it off the back four when he simply isn't good enough on the ball. Teams visibly would squeeze the full backs to encourage us to give it to Cattermole and then hound him.
Allardyce had him in a more advanced role for that very reason. But then Sam has forgotten more than many managers ever knew.

Cattermole is a complete joke now, way out of his depth even at this level.

Like many on here you seriously underestimated this division

No, I didn’t. How do you figure I ‘seriously underestimated this division’ just from one post?

With a poor squad I thought we’d be mid-table, hopefully pushing for playoffs come January.

I did think that within that poor squad, those three would stand out as among the leagues best players. I was wrong. I think it’s more about their performances than the standard of the league.
