More investigations for the mags from HMRC?

The authorities will be forming a long queue to have shot of them, like some sort of sick football bukake session.

The penalty will be 100% of the avoid tax + interest on the tax and the penalty.
Don't forget the court costs, solicitors, judges fees etc. Then the F A and the Premier League will punish them, maybe even the Football League

Class. So is this thread we are all become forensic accountants and scrutinise nufc accounts and any comments they make? Might as well throw in some extreme possiblities as well.

Hopefully I'll learn something from the thread.
Type into your internet provider search engine "Black and White scum" until you pass out. You know it makes sense.

Oh yes. See my post around number 22 of this thread.

a) to chuckle at the accounts experts that appear overnight
b) to shake my head in amusement at the confidence in heavy handed punishments for a crime that Newcastle haven't even been found guilty of
c) to while away some time
d) it's a thread about Newcastle United.

I suppose if Newcastle used nefarious means to outmanoeuvre FFP rules there could be sanctions, but given our financial situation, I can't see that being the motivating factor. If we did pay agents under the table, it wasn't to find a loophole in FFP, it's to sweeten the deal by avoiding tax. If that's the case I absolutely think there'll be a fine from HMRC, but even if it's the total tax owed, plus a penalty, that is unlikely to be enough that Newcastle United would face winding up orders.

I agree with your first sentence, I cannot believe for a second that we're alone in dodgy tax avoidance (if we are), and the more involved the better for us. If, say, there's a cadre of Premier League sides involved like West Ham, Crystal Palace, yourselves, the HMRC fines may be large, but the FA wouldn't expel 4 or 5 Premier League sides from the league. And obviously if it transpires that a big club is involved then any FA punishment will soften more.

I dont think for one minute that you or anybody else will face a winding up order.

as for the reasons (if it was done), we will need to wait and see. No point in guessing. I am sure there will be a number of clubs involved and whether it is through one agent or several, again we will just have to wait and see.

I can honestly see at least one demotion for those involved and rightly so, irrespective of those involved, as the amounts involved will be millions. That is millions from the services of this country. I would also like the agents and the players to face the music, if there is music to face.

Queer owld story this one mind. I'm pleased my ignorance on the matter is vast and unending.

Based on nothing at all, I imagine they (and others no doubt - surely our own legendary incompetence at executive level could see us dragged into any wider investigation?) will take a caning and a fine sometime in the future. They will need to have been outlandishly stupid though to justify the far reaches of some of the press speculation and although some of the the numbers are mind alteringly in their size, you'd wonder how much it is possible to fiddle the taxman for.

Can't see it doing much for any prospective club sale mind unless it is cleared up sharpish.

problem for some, is that when the taxman gets his teeth into something, they don't let go. Its trying to encourage them to take the first bite. I will be very surprised if it relates to one club. Them up the road have been involved with dodgy deals before, that fella from rangers. how many agents is another thing. if more than one, it will be widespread and who knows where it will stop.

Convincing needn't be "forcing", it can be reasoning, arguing, influencing, or guiding, or cajoling. I could convince someone that Arrichi's ice cream is the best in the region without "forcing" them to agree. But then you know that full well. If your argument consists of quibbling over semantics, don't you think it's a bit silly?

Ashley has, on a number of occasions proven his loyalty to friends and colleagues at Newcastle. However if it saves his investment, I'm comfortable with Charnley being thrown under the bus. However, nobody knows what the outcome will be and yet you've stated that a custodial sentence is almost certain.

The fairly obvious point I was making, way back when, is that without knowing enough facts, or there being a sufficiently similar situation recently that set precedent, it's pointless to make predictions about winding up orders, transfer embargos, or expulsion from the league.

If nothing like that happens, you'll look very foolish.
I'm convinced you are the most boring poster on the forum.

I'm taking it the usual fat fucktards are trying rabidly to convince themselves and other Greggs munchers there's nothing to worry about and it'll all just blow over?
Not if the most vociferous mag I've ever known is anything to go by. He is seriously worried about it all. He never misses an opportunity to have a dig/ take the pish but today admitted he is very worried by it all.
Hooray !

Is it one of the night shift lot or has this obese one been posting all day?
