The mags are already the biggest club in the land. They don't need good players, lots of cash or trophies to prove this.

"£28bn under management". All that means is that she's looking after that amount of other people's money. Says nothing about how rich she is.

George Caulkin, a football journalist for The Times, found her presence interesting enough to tweet about it.

"A financier with an estimated £28bn under her management & reportedly open to buying a PL club," he said.

"Staveley has previously been involved in the sale of Manchester City & an attempted bid for Liverpool," said.

I've no idea how much she's worth - nor does it matter, I guess. Caulkin made comment, and I posted on it. It'll probably come to nothing, but it's interesting. That's it.

Hope the OP enjoys supporting them!

Don't shatter the OP's illusions man...

Oh, calm down, you absolute tart.

f***ing hell - I posted something a respected journalist tweeted. It is possible to post something on Newcastle without supporting them. What's this, a really shit version of Salem's Lot? "Get him, he's a witch!"

Have you read the title?

The title was tongue in cheek.

I should image that this will come to nothing. But if it dead come off, and someone did actually massively invest in them, you'd shit your pants as much as I would and every Sunderland fan in the world would. Exactly the same as they would if it happened to us.

@stephen cartwright knows that, but it is the title. How does a possible takeover of them affect us. It couldn't piss down on our parade anymore as it happens. I doubt carty would have an issue other than the subject of the post.

Say someone invested in them like Sheik Mansour did at City - you're telling me it wouldn't piss on our parade?

Don't talk bollocks.

It would appear that some of us errrm you are obsessed with them. All that matters to me is how we are doing, they are a mere distraction. I hate the cunts but what they do is pretty irrelevant to me. My point still remains, in our current situation it couldn't piss on our parade anymore than Ellis Short is doing

There'll never be another consequence free sugar daddy coming into English football. The risk reward in an already crowded elite end of the table will prohibit it.
