You probably said the same about Moyes.

And don't say Moyes quit. He didn't . He was given an ultimatum. Quit or be fired.

i am not sure i did early on to be honest, later on maybe but i will have the check that out.

If today wasn't a blip, then, there was enough to suggest that we're on the right track. My money's on this wasn't typical of the level of performance we'll put in, moving forward. I'd be ecstatic to be wrong and will gobble down my share of the humble pie with a ginormous spoon, should that be the case.

Who has the bunting out? I have just said he needs time. It takes time.

Had a really bad ominous feel to this season since Steeles Celtic antics where he looked like he was impersonating a keeper - we won't stay up if he sticks with him which looks like is his preferred option. Madness.

First I've heard that. Would be interesting if true, but it's never been reported that way before

I think he needs to be kept until Christmas or January

Bollocks. They expected Moyes to stay, hence the "plan" they were going to share with us which went out of the window when he left. Plus he'd hardly have walked away without compensation if pushed, he'd have said "sack me and pay up my contract". If we were going to sack him it'd have been before Christmas, not afterwards when we'd made a profit in January

I'm not overly impressed by Ruiter but I'm more confident that he's not going to do something daft than I am of Steele. It's probably the first time since the Kelvin Davis season that I've not been confident in our keeper(s).

Played well today. 2 lapses I come reaction cost us the game. The question is if we can get the ball up the field that quickly and score a goal why can't we do it all the time.

Umm, his payoff is determined by his contract. The only relevance in how long he's been in the job is that his payoff will be higher now than later, as there's longer left on his contract.

Not necessarily true. Generally, yes, you have to pay up the entirety of the contract but they might have put a specific break clause in allowing them to sack him for less than the total contract amount (and allowing him to leave for less should someone else want him), like when Pardew got his massive contract with the mags

Pretty much every side has a break contract clause in
