Mate, X players and managers have said it time and time again, how many times do you need telling? Do you not think for one second that this could be part of the problem? If it is then why on earth would you not try to do something a big different? Do you honestly believe that booing and abusing players helps? Are you seriously trying to argue that?
Nobody is arguing that. Deflection is great though

no manager should ever have a go at the fans whether his words are taken out of context or not it is dangerous ground.

some say they admire his honesty, if that is the case then why has he not been honest about his own failings?

off the top of my head, several different formations, players out of position, playing rodwell, making kone captain, not realising that catts (at his fittest for 5 years apparently) has zero pace and is left in no mans land, changing 'keepers constantly, not making sure he brought in at least one proven goal scorer, relying on a young loanee who has had a bad start, hoping duncan and maja will save us, defensive substitutions while needing to attack and score...there will be more.

unlike some i never expected us to walk the league, i figured we would have a slow start and improve as the season wore on and probably get into our stride after xmas/january window but here we are 10 games in and nothing has changed...we are not harder to beat, we do not defend well, players are not showing signs of linking up well, we are not creating enough chances, things have to improve dramatically over the next 4 or 5 games or he may as well walk.

Knee jerking? Find me a club with a worse record than ours over the past 5-6 seasons. I've asked you 4 times now.

The fans are not the problem

And another patronising cock

So players who are paid thousands can't stand a bit of abuse? Again that speaks more of their fragile personality than it does the fans. I thought Grayson and Bain were getting people with the right mentality but apparently they've bought more bottlers and shirkers. That's cleared that up then

What has it got to do with pay? Football like most sports is about confidence, what you are paid is utterly irrelevant. If you are getting dogs abuse while trying your best in your job whether it be teaching, road sweeping or playing football then do you think you will be performing to your peak?

What the fuck do fans think they will achieve by abusing players, seriously, whether justified or not do they genuinely think it helps improve the team or results?

1. Because at the time there were limited options, he watches him in training and he is trying to find a solution to the problems

2. Im sure he hoped that giving him this responsibility would show how valued he is and get him to step up to the mark and show he is a leader. Im not sure why that would be an issue, definitely worth a go.

3. Because we have been significantly better with him in the side since he arrived at the club...Definitely like marmite as a player but little doubt we do better when he is there than when he is injured.
Thank you. 2 Now on arrival he stated he would drive away players himself, who didn't want to be here.

He made one captain.

3 have you seen cattermole play well in the last 18 months?

Point 1 I accept your opinion on that one

But they don't get dogs abuse until they turn to shit. They don't get dogs abuse from the start of the game and are still f***ing hopeless, they then use this dogs abuse phrase to cover their own inadequacies when it comes to showing some f***ing bottle

I do and at times we are shit but you know what, when the groans and slagging off from the stands starts (normally about 10 to 15 mins) we get a whole lot worse.....Look how many times this year reports at home say

"Sunderland started brightly but couldnt capitalise"......Aye, cause thats about the time they start getting abuse.

Dont care what job you are in or how much you are paid, if you are being abused by those watching your performance then you will struggle to perform at your best.
ER, they have been 1-0 down in every home game so far in that period.

We have scored a penalty and one 94th minute goal at home.

In some we have had one shot on goal in 90 mins.

There is no set of fans in the world, who would be cheering to the rafters, with this output

What the hell do you expect?

What's gone wrong with @Bagpuss he used to be a decent poster. Common sense bypass?

No, just understand that if Grayson goes then we will have repeated the same cycle that has happened 13 times in recent years and one that has resulted in us going backwards nearly every time.

He has a decent record of building good footballing sides. He inherited a basket case of a club and squad....It is going to take ANYBODY time to turn this fucked up mess of a club around......Get rid of him and who will we be getting? We will be looking to league 1/2 managers next as nobody in their right mind would take the job.

IMHO till we get rid of the owner then any manager is on a hiding to nothing and imho the business that Grayson has done suggests that he is able to operate within the mental restrictions placed on him....This squad will come good, it is arguably far stronger than the squad he built at Preston that is now sat 4th in the league...Those are his players, his squad and their fans will applaud him onto the pitch this weekend as they are greatful for building it....FFS give the bloke time to rebuild us, did anybody seriously believe that the turmoil of last season, our finanaces and relegation would result in an immediate promotion push?

I see you won't answer those questions AGAIN.

You like examples but know the answers already.

Haway be genuine.

Just one thing that Grayson has done right so far?

He jumped at the chance to take over a massive club but a club in the shìt.

He inherited a load of prem players but the decent ones fooked off. The rest wdre crocks or couldn't be arsed mercenary coonts.

He's been given a million quid to spend or there abouts ffs and some cùnts think we should be walking away with the league.

Bagpuss. I will bet you £50 if Grayson is sacked, his replacement will achieve more than six points from their first ten games

Well?

Then dont moan when the pressure you put them under makes things worse.....Its your choice, you are free to abuse them and to boo them but do it knowing that you are making things worse not better. Fans should be honest with themselves, do what you like but do not sit and claim that abusing players will improve results as there is literally zero evidence ever of that happening.......You only need to look to the perpetual underperformance of England players to know what mental expectations and media/fans turning on them does to results.

Sorry?

Where the fuck have I ever said I 'abuse the players' nevermind our new players? Look at my posts over the past years  You'll even find recent posts of mine defending Grayson

I have an issue with you saying our fans are the problem.

Can you find me a few clubs with a worse record over the past 5-6 seasons? The fact I've asked 5 or 6 times means it's not an easy feat.

I see you're just going to ignore this reply @Bagpuss

You're an absolute mentalist. Clearly well meaning, but nonetheless mental.

Have a good night ;)

Just to help you.

I have never expected safc to win anything since 1973, and I didn't expect, until the last minute at Wembley.

Now, would you think I was to expectant, to not want safc to be in the bottom three, below Burton?

Grow up man

No, Im not in denial either, unlike most of our fans.......Players and managers have said it time and again but the precious fans cant handle getting told the truth. If you do not believe that fans can influence a game both positively and negatively then it is you that is doing drugs or you are just dense.
Oh no I'm so sorry, I didn't realise the mess we are in is all my fault. I thought by buying a season ticket year after year and attending the odd away game I was supporting the club I love. I haven't been doing it for free either I've actually paid the club to go and watch players, who are paid obscene amounts to fail miserably and managers not being able to organise or motivate said players to actually win a game at home this year. I am in no way a 'precious fan' whatever that means. I am one of the reasons the club existed before all the sky money ruined football and enabled average footballers to become millionaires.

Well?

So someone who takes over 10 games after the players start to play together will do better than 11 strangers who play together, who knew? This really shows you up for just how daft you are at times mate.

Who claims we "should be walking away with the league"

Who said it is all the fans, I am saying that the fans are part of the problem, particularly at home, if you cant see this then yes you are a big part of the problem.

I don't boo.

Again a deflection, what's England got to do with this.

Look at what's happening on the pitch

1 penalty and a 94th minute goal in FIVE HOME GAMES

Haway £50 says the next manager, gets more than six points from 10 games
