Yes but it’s those mistakes as to why we find ourselves where we are now.
Again that is not the point I was making though I stated above that we are now paying the price for mistakes Short has made. I was making the point that we wouldn't have had so many years in the Premier League without Short. He has done and good and bad things but very few acknowledge the good things.

Still waiting for a link to this magical 40M per year that Short bankrolled.....Here you go, I'll help you billy bullshitter.

Show me one year which Short spent 40M?

Are you seriously saying that we spent 10 years in the prem and this was down to Short? Apart from a league cup run and a few derby wins, what other memorable moments were there in this illustrious decade that we should be grateful to Short for?

He wasn't even around when we got promoted last, he has just oversaw the slow destruction of our club including a relegation. So what exactly should we thankful for?

The Good things?

Nearly every year it's been a struggle and not to mention fckin abject at home

How do you know that another owner couldn’t of come in, in the time of short and kept us in the premier league longer, not hired idiots to buy players most managers didn’t want which could of ultimately seen us in a better state than we are now. Our league position to one side for a moment, this is about the rumour of administration which for me would be the ultimate low for the club and there is only one man who has guided us to that and that’s Ellis Short.

All of it, as it's utter tosh.

Can you post a link to this magical 400M net spend that Short has bankrolled?

We were in the top flight for the past 10 years. That is a fact and even you know it. It's not tosh.

Again, I suggest you read my post again. There was no mention of a magical £40m or of net spend. Just spending around £40m a year on players. That was a ball park figure off the top of my head. I'm sure you can find the accurate figures if you would like them but they won't affect the substance of my argument, which is that we wouldn't have been in the Premier League for 10 years had it not been for Short and that nobody complained when he was spending big money on players.

Answer me one question mate before I have me tea. Should I be proud that I haven't been to jail?

No one can defend Short on here now mate, no one.

Some still manage it mate. Surely gotta be on the payroll for you to defend him now like

The new media people have been out in force spinning the Club official line....I was told that the SAFC cameras were going around the ground and in particular beside the Stokoe statue, asking for the customers opinions of the game and were verbally abuse by almost everyone... No customer interviews on the Clubs web site to see today though...I wonder why:):):)

If you read my original post you will know exactly what I'm saying. It wasn't about memorable moments or being promoted under Short. Most seasons we spent not far short of £40m on players. If you want to be pedantic, with the benefit of stats, it's slightly less than £40m but not much, so my point stands. You just can't resist biting the hand that's fed you. He's made loads of mistakes but we get no balance on here because people like you pretend he's done nothing positive for the Club, which is bollocks.

I know mate, a struggle in the Premier League. Can you remember the bad old days?

I didn't say another owner couldn't have come in. But they didn't. We are not in imminent threat of administration FFS.
