Rafa. He's still not happy

An overall assessment of your summer's business is all I was after, like I said, something arbitrary like out of ten as a group of four. If they can't get a game that's maybe an indication of how they've done? We can simplify it even more if you like. Do you think Rafa's spending in the summer has been good? A simple yes or no will do if that's what you'd prefer.

First you want an assessment so far, I've given you that. Now you open this post saying you want a mark out of ten before closing with a request for an ultimate judgment of shit, yes or no? Out of ten is completely out of the window.

No variation. You want it black or white. All after six games.

You want me to say if Lejeune has been a good signing or not without him playing a full half for us. Crackers...

Gross spend wouldn't have been enough to buy Danny Drinkwater. Net spend wasn't enough to buy a quarter of Matic.

I asked your for a broad assessment of how they'd rated as a group, successful or not.

You saying 'nailed the transfers again' infers that I said it last summer. Yeah, sorry for not condemning players after half a dozen games, especially one that has been injured since the first game of the season. What an arsehole.

You're on the SMB now, you're lucky if you get 1 game to condemn a player, let alone 6.

Your last request was for this, man

Do you think Rafa's spending in the summer has been good? A simple yes or no

Why don't you save us all the bother and just edit this post to say they're all shite or whatever you want to read

I gave you a number of ways of evaluating how you thought they'd done as a group, you dodged them all. As I say that probably speaks volumes for what your opinion is. If it doesn't, just say so,its that easy. ;)

Because it's far too early to judge them, man. What are you not getting about this?

Is it safe to come back on this thread and gloat...? ;)

The lads seem in turmoil, my own lads team (u7s) not doing well either, and I can at least find a crumb of comfort from the mags losing.

Anyhow, as it seems the mags losing may be the only way I get to enjoy football this season, thanks for today, and in the spirit of not taking everything so bloody seriously whilst the political world is erupting around us, I hope you lose every remaining match this season.

I am getting it, you don't want to say how Rafa did in the market over the summer. It's been obvious since the start of the discussion.

For what it's worth I can't understand why he paid ten million for Murphy and 5m for joselu. You seem to have loads of wide players all of roughly the same standard and he doesn't seem to think Murphy is a better bet than any of them. So why not forget about Murphy and joselu and spend that 15m on a better centre forward when it's been obvious (in my opinion) that goals were going to be a problem with the system you set up with.

The money now is scary and both us and the Mags are way down the pecking order when it comes to being able to compete

Smaller clubs than NUFC and SAFC spending absolute fortunes. Bournemouth spent £20m on a player, last year Palace paid £30m for Benteke. Our clubs should be out doing teams like Watford, Bournemouth etc but our owners are cack

Can't even begin to argue with that. Obviously I'd love the Mags to fail, that's natural rivalry, truth is we are both clubs with fantastic fan bases and potential. For whatever reason the potential will never be achieved.

Liecester won the league, Wigan and Portsmouth won the Fa Cup fairly recently, Swansea and Birmingham the league cup. Yet two clubs the size of ours are always struggling are arguing with each other over who's least shite.
